The new S1000R is offered in two new variants (Style Sport / M Package), both fitted with unique set of equipment that set each variant apart from the other.
Available in the Hockenheim Silver Metallic for the Style Sport variant, and a combination of Light White, Racing Blue Metallic and Racing Red for the M Package variant, the New BMW S 1000 R also features adaptive LED headlights and brake lights, along with the Headlight Pro and Daytime Running Lamp offerings.
The on-the-road price for the new S1000R (with 3-year warranty, 3-year roadside assistance) stands at RM104,500 for the Style Sport variant and RM119,500 for the M Package variant.
With the Financing Plan from BMW Group Financial Services Malaysia, ownership of the new BMW S1000R starts from RM1,270.00 per month based on balloon financing estimates of an 80% loan on a 4-year tenure.
The model continues to be powered by the water/oil-cooled 4-cylinder 4-stroke in-line engine with a capacity of 999 cc and a maximum output of 207 hp and 113 Nm, while consuming 6.4 litres of fuel per 100 km. The model is also equipped with the BMW ShiftCam Technology.

The Dynamic Damping Control (DDC) also equips the new variants, along with Cruise Control and the HP Shift Assistant Pro.
BMW M Endurance Chain
The New BMW S1000R in the BMW M Package variant will exclusively feature the new BMW M Endurance Chain which is maintenance-free and offers maximum environmental sustainability, as the chain has a resident permanent lubricant filling between the rollers and pins, enclosed by X-rings.
Additional lubricant addition for the rollers is now no longer necessary, nor is any re-tensioning required from time to time due to the usual wear.
With the excellent dry lubrication properties and the elimination of wear, the tetrahedral amorphous carbon coated rollers of the M Endurance chain offer maintenance comfort equivalent to that of a shaft drive motorcycle.
The New BMW S1000R also arrives complete with the Keyless Ride function, USB Charging Socket, Passenger Package, and heated grips, along with a motor spoiler.
Exclusive equipment and accessories offered to the BMW M Package variant consist of the M sport seat, M light weight battery, Sports Silencer, and M GPS Lap trigger.

The folks at BMW Motorrad have added two new variants to the R 18 range – the BMW R 18 Transcontinental and R 18 B.
With the new R 18 Transcontinental, BMW Motorrad is adding a Grand American Tourer to the R 18 family as well as the R 18 B “Bagger”, which is particularly popular in the USA.
Newly developed engine
At the heart of the new R 18 Transcontinental and R 18 B is a 2-cylinder boxer engine, the “Big Boxer”, which is a completely newly development for the R 18 models.
The most powerful 2-cylinder flat twin engine ever built in motorbike series production boasts an engine capacity of 1,802 cc.
It generates an output of 91 hp at 4 750 rpm. In the 2,000 to 4,000 rpm range, it delivers more than 150 Nm of torque at all times.
The chassis of the new R 18 Transcontinental and R 18 B is a double-loop tube steel frame made of steel with a backbone of sheet metal formed parts.
Like the BMW R 5, the rear swinging arm, which is manufactured in a similar design, encloses the rear axle drive in the same style using bolted connections.
In order to achieve the best possible ride response even when riding with a pillion and fully loaded, the rear suspension strut features travel-dependent damping and automatic load compensation.
DCC and ACC as standard
The R 18 Transcontinental and R 18 B are already equipped as standard with DCC electronic cruise control (Dynamic Cruise Control).
There is also the Active Cruise Control (ACC) which allows relaxed gliding with distance control – without the rider having to adjust the speed to the vehicle in front.
Where necessary, the cornering control system automatically reduces the speed, giving the rider the right speed for a comfortable and safe banking angle.
The new R 18 Transcontinental and R 18 B also feature a casual, so-called “mid-mounted footpeg” position of the footrests.
The R 18 Transcontinental is equipped with an especially comfortable seat and seat heating as standard to ensure long-distance riding comfort even in two-person operation.
The cockpit, specially designed for the new R 18 Transcontinental and R 18 B, with four analogue round instruments and a 10.25 inch TFT colour display.
In order to meet individual customer needs, the new R 18 Transcontinental and R 18 B also feature the three riding modes “Rain”, “Roll” and “Rock” as standard.
The standard equipment also includes ASC (Automatic Stability Control), which ensures a high level of riding safety.
Engine drag torque control
In addition, the new R 18 Transcontinental and R 18 B are equipped with an engine drag torque control (MSR) as standard.
In addition to other options, a reversing aid makes manoeuvring a comfortable affair and the Hill Start Control function makes starting off uphill easy.
As standard, the new R 18 Transcontinental and R 18 B feature a sound system developed in collaboration with the British manufacturer Marshall, featuring 2-way speakers integrated into the front of the fairing.
Right from the time of market launch, the new R 18 Transcontinental and R 18 B will be available worldwide as exclusive R 18 Transcontinental First Edition and R 18 B First Edition versions.
They combine the R 18 look with exclusive features in classic black paintwork with white double-lining. Further highlights are the specially designed surfaces (Chrome Package), high-grade stitching on the seat and the “First Edition” lettering.
For some reason, BMW has unveiled two limited edition versions of the X5 and X6 called the “Black Vermilion” edition.
Looking like they just came out of your neighbourhood car accessories shop, the central focus of the Black Vermilion edition according to BMW, is “the interplay between the colours black and red”. Wow.
Black and red
From what we can see, the BMW double kidney grille feature red bars, creating a striking contrast to the BMW Individual Frozen Black special paint finish.
As for the BMW X6 Black Vermilion, the kidney grille comes with what is called an “Iconic Glow.”
Other supposedly cool features include Shadow Line M headlights with BMW laser light, and accented lighting with blue X signature.
Both models comprise, among other things, specific front and rear aprons as well as the M high-gloss Shadow Line with extended options.
Behind the Orbit Grey matt, 22-inch, double-spoke 742 M light alloy wheels with mixed tyres designed exclusively for these edition models, red high-gloss M Sport brake callipers stand out as a striking visual highlight.
Inside, the BMW X5 and BMW X6 Black Vermilion editions feature M Alcantara Anthracite roof liner.
And then we have the special logo on the cup holder cover in BMW Individual black piano finish, Crafted Clarity glass on the iDrive Controller, the automatic gear selector and Start/Stop button, and the BMW Individual Fineline Black wood interior trim with aluminium inlays.
The BMW Individual full leather trim Merino Black is additionally enhanced by edition-specific red contrast stitching for both the driver’s seat and front passenger seat.
Inside the BMW X5 Black Vermilion, the red accents are also to be found on the rear seats. Likewise, the edging on both the front and rear floor mats is finished in red.
Like the Black Vermilion editions, the new BMW X7 edition also has the BMW Individual special paint finish Frozen Black metallic, dispensing, however, with details in contrasting colour.
The BMW M Sport brake callipers of the edition-specific, 22-inch BMW Individual Y-spoke 758 I alloy wheels in Orbit Grey matt are finished in high gloss black.
Combined with the M Sport Package and the M High Gloss Shadow Line with extended options, it is this colour restraint in particular that make the 5.15-metre long and over 2-metre wide seven-seater look even more impressive.
The interior of the BMW X7 edition in Frozen Black metallic also comes with the M Alcantara Anthracite roof liner, Crafted Clarity glass application, and and sun-protection glass.

At the rear, suspension and damping are performed by a directly controlled, fully covered spring strut. The new BMW CE 04 is fitted with generously sized tyres, with 120/70 R15 67H at the front and 160/60 R15 56H at the rear.
At the front, a twin disc brake ensures secure deceleration, supported by a single-disc system at the rear. In addition, BMW Motorrad ABS ensures a high level of active safety.
The new BMW CE 04 also comes fitted as standard with a 10.25-inch TFT colour screen with integrated map navigation and connectivity. For the first time, the new 10.25-inch colour screen makes it possible to display a navigation map in the instrument cluster, so no additional display is needed.
