Edaran Tan Chong Motor (ETCM) has announced that the all-new Nissan Serena e-POWER has recorded 1,300 bookings in Malaysia, with the first 250 units delivered nationwide in March 2026.

As ETCM ramps up production to meet demand, the company has also confirmed that the introductory RM5,000 rebate and complimentary accessories package worth RM8,000 for early customers will continue.

According to ETCM, the all-new Nissan Serena e-POWER has been positioned as an MPV designed to address motion sickness, combining Nissan’s e-POWER electrified drivetrain with ride and cabin enhancements aimed at improving passenger comfort.

The Serena e-POWER is powered by a system in which the wheels are driven entirely by an electric motor, while the petrol engine functions solely as a generator. This setup is designed to deliver smoother and more linear acceleration, while eliminating conventional gear shifts and reducing lag.

ETCM says the Serena e-POWER was engineered to minimise several factors commonly associated with motion discomfort, including vehicle sway, head movement, vibration, and sensory mismatch.

To support this, the MPV features improved aerodynamics, a revised suspension and steering system, and large windows aimed at reducing visual imbalance for passengers. It also comes with Zero Gravity Seats for the first and second rows, which are designed to provide better body support and reduce head movement during travel.

Additional comfort-oriented features include a quieter cabin environment and e-Pedal Step, which allows for smoother acceleration and deceleration in daily driving conditions.

ETCM Executive Vice President Christopher Tan said the Serena e-POWER was developed to better address the needs of modern families by focusing on comfort and reducing fatigue for both drivers and passengers.
