Edaran Tan Chong Motor recently previewed the new Navara which is all set to be launched officially in a couple of weeks, and to get the hype going, the company gave us a nice close look at the coolest variant in the whole range – the New Navara Pro-4X.
Exterior
Looking rather aggressive just the way most pickup truck owners like it these days, the Navara Pro-4X comes with a long list of cosmetic enhancements such as:
- Large Black Front “Interlock” Grille with ‘Navara’ stamped on top
- Black fender flares
- Black door mirrors
- Black roof rails
- Black side steps
- New 17-inch black wheels
- All-terrain tyres
- New red Nissan watermark on a black emblem on the grille, tailgate, wheel caps
- New quad LED Projector headlamps
- C-shaped DRLs

Powertrain
Under the hood of the new Navara Pro-4X is the same YD25 4-cylinder turbocharged diesel engine as before, producing 190 PS and 450 Nm of torque. Paired to the engine is a 7-speed automatic gearbox with manual mode.
Further complementing the powertrain package are features like the new Electronic Locking Rear Differential system, new rear multilink suspension with dual-rate coil springs, the new Tailgate Assist feature, new Integrated Rear Bumper Step, new Trailer Sway Assist system, and a new Utili-Track Channel system with 2 channels and 4 heavy duty forged aluminium cleats that enable owners to easily secure objects on the bed. Speaking of payload, the new Navara Pro-4X now comes with an increased payload capacity of up to 1,100 kg.
Launch
All set to make its Malaysian debut on the 16th of April 2021, , the new Navara Pro-4X is available in four interesting exterior colours – Stealth Grey, Burning Red, Pearl White, and Black Star. According to Nissan, all the colours except Black Star are new for the Navara.
