SAIC Motor Malaysia has opened bookings for the locally assembled MG ZS, ahead of its official rollout at the end of October. The SUV will be offered in two variants, with estimated prices starting from RM105,000.
The MG ZS 1.5 Turbo is estimated to cost RM105,000, while the MG ZS Hybrid+ is priced at an estimated RM115,000. Both prices are for Peninsular Malaysia, excluding insurance.
The first 1,000 customers who book before 30 October 2026 will receive early-bird benefits worth RM3,000, along with five years of complimentary maintenance. Bookings are now open through the official MG Malaysia website.

The MG ZS Hybrid+ will also be displayed at Nexus Bangsar South from 19 to 23 October 2026, between 10am and 10pm.
Two powertrain options
The MG ZS 1.5 Turbo is powered by a 1.5-litre turbocharged petrol engine producing 170PS and 275Nm of torque. It is paired with a continuously variable transmission (CVT) and front-wheel drive, with a claimed combined fuel consumption of 6.9 litres per 100km.
The MG ZS Hybrid+ combines a 1.5-litre naturally aspirated petrol engine, a 100kW electric motor and a 1.83kWh NCM battery. Its combined system output stands at 215PS and 465Nm, delivered through a three-speed hybrid transmission.

MG claims fuel consumption of 4.7 litres per 100km and a driving range of up to 870km on a full 41-litre tank. The hybrid system can also drive in EV mode at speeds of up to 80km/h under suitable conditions, without requiring external charging.
What do you get?
Measuring 4,430mm long and 1,818mm wide, the MG ZS offers 443 litres of boot space, expandable to 1,457 litres with the rear seats folded.
Equipment highlights include a panoramic sunroof, a 12.3-inch infotainment display and a 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster.
Both variants also come with MG PILOT driver assistance technology, including Intelligent Cruise Assist and a Driver Fatigue Monitoring System. The MG iSMART system enables owners to access selected vehicle functions remotely through a smartphone.

The locally assembled MG ZS will be available in Flare Red, Silver, Andes Grey and York White, with an all-black interior.
With two powertrain options and estimated prices of RM105,000 to RM115,000, the MG ZS is set to compete in Malaysia’s B-segment SUV market. The Hybrid+ variant, in particular, offers buyers a hybrid alternative without the need to plug in for charging.
