Dinamikjaya Motors Sdn Bhd, the new sole distributor for the Kia brand in Malaysia has announced that the price of the All-New Kia Carnival will start from RM196,340.
Imported from South Korea, the all-new Kia Carnival 11-seater MPV comes in six colour options, and a 5-Years Manufacturer Warranty + 5-Years Free Maintenance according to manufacturer’s standards inclusive of labour, parts and lubricants.
Both Manufacturer Warranty and Free Maintenance have a coverage period of five years and a mileage limit of 100,000km, whichever comes first.
Power comes courtesy of a 2.2L Turbo Diesel Engine mated to a 8-speed automatic transmission, controlled by an electronic shifter. The 2.2L engine produces 199 hp and 440 Nm of torque from just 1,750 – 2,750 RPM.
Standard safety technologies in the all-new Carnival includes 7 SRS Airbags (Front Driver & Passenger, Driver Knee, Side and Curtain), Anti-Lock Braking System (ABS), Electronic Stability Control (ESC), Traction Control System (TCS), Multi-Collision Brake Control (MCB), ISOFIX Child Restraint Anchor Points and Top Tethers as well as Hill-start Assist Control (HAC).
In terms of advanced safety, the Kia Carnival comes equipped with Blind-Spot Collision Warning (BCW) and Rear Cross-Traffic Collision Avoidance Assist (RCCA).
In terms of the vehicle body structure, the all-new Kia Carnival is built based on the all-new 3rd generation “N3” platform that is lighter, stronger and quieter.
Design wise, the new Kia Carnival features a shorter front overhang, with the base of the A-pillar moved backwards to create a longer hood.
Its increased wheelbase also contributes to greater space throughout the cabin, while giving the car a longer, slightly more athletic silhouette.
The new model features a unique ‘island roof’ design, with blacked-out A- and B-pillars supporting the body-coloured roof.
From the side, the chrome fin, which wraps beneath the tapered rear windows and extends towards the tailgate, is finished with a subtle diamond pattern that is also reflected throughout the inside of the car.
The Carnival also features a new ‘tiger face’ which extends across the width of the vehicle, with full LED headlights and DRLs.
At the rear, we have LED combination lamps, which echo the same details as the DRLs at the front of the car, integrated into a full-width light.
The light bar connects visually to a sharp, sculpted line which extends downwards and wraps around the license plate. Above the light bar is a chrome line, which starts at the base of the new signature C-pillar and wraps around the base of the rear screen.
Inside, the centre fascia takes on a premium image with high-gloss black surfaces. A chrome garnish runs the length of the dash to create a sense of space and openness in the forward cabin. Integrated slim metal air vents are a modern touch.
The Carnival also features Smart Power Sliding doors and Smart Power Liftgate, Smart Key with one-button open/close functionality for rear sliding doors and liftgate.
Other standard interior features include a 12.3-inch High-resolution LCD Touchscreen Infotainment system with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. Wireless smartphone charging and multi-Bluetooth connectivity and up to seven USB ports.
