Mercedes-Benz Malaysia has invested RM2.2 million to establish Southeast Asia’s first and only Mercedes-AMG ONE Service Hub at Hap Seng Star Bukit Tinggi, positioning the country as a regional servicing centre for the Formula 1-derived hypercar.
The facility joins a select global network of Mercedes-AMG ONE service hubs in Germany, Switzerland, the Middle East and Japan. Working alongside the Japanese facility, the Malaysian hub will support owners across Southeast Asia and the wider Asia-Pacific region.
The purpose-built centre is equipped with specialised tools, vehicle-specific diagnostic systems, high-voltage safety equipment and controlled working conditions designed around the hypercar’s complex engineering. Its technicians have also undergone specialised training and certification by Mercedes-AMG to carry out approved diagnostic, maintenance and servicing procedures.

Servicing a road-legal Formula 1 hybrid
The Mercedes-AMG ONE transfers Formula 1 hybrid powertrain technology to a road-legal two-seater. Its E PERFORMANCE system combines a 1.6-litre V6 turbocharged engine with four electric motors to deliver more than 1,063hp, with engine speeds reaching up to 11,000rpm.
With global production limited to 275 units, the hypercar requires specialised servicing capabilities beyond those available at conventional workshops.

Mercedes-Benz Cars Malaysia CEO and president Martin Schulz said the new facility builds on Malaysia’s existing role in supporting the brand’s regional operations, while strengthening aftersales support for AMG ONE owners.
The hub will also work directly with Mercedes-Benz Parts Logistics Asia Pacific, based in Malaysia, to support parts inventory and distribution, potentially reducing waiting times for replacement components and maintenance requirements.
Regional technical support from Malaysia
Beyond workshop servicing, the facility will provide regional support through technical specialists who can travel to assist customers, dedicated liaison officers for international clients and a digital service system offering diagnostic reporting and communication.
Hap Seng Star will operate the facility at its Bukit Tinggi premises. Its automotive division chief executive Lee Weng Yew said the appointment reflected confidence in the company’s technical capabilities and its partnership with Mercedes-Benz Malaysia.

The investment adds to Malaysia’s specialised automotive service capabilities, extending the country’s role beyond vehicle sales and conventional aftersales operations.
By combining factory-level technical support, specialised equipment and access to a regional parts logistics network, the new hub gives Mercedes-AMG ONE owners in Southeast Asia a dedicated service destination without relying solely on facilities outside the region.
