UD Trucks has strengthened its presence in Malaysia with the opening of a new 3S (Sales, Service and Spare Parts) dealership centre in Nilai, Negeri Sembilan, further enhancing support for commercial vehicle operators in one of the country’s growing industrial hubs.
The new facility was established through a partnership between UD Trucks, its sole Malaysian distributor Tan Chong Industrial Equipment Sdn Bhd (TCIE), and newly appointed dealer partner Soon Seng Automobile Sdn Bhd.
Located at Jalan Platinum 5/5 in Pusat Perdagangan Nilai Impian, the centre is designed to provide a comprehensive range of sales, aftersales, maintenance, repair, and spare parts services for customers operating UD Trucks vehicles in the region.
The opening ceremony was attended by representatives from UD Trucks, TCIE, and Soon Seng Automobile, marking another milestone in the Japanese commercial vehicle manufacturer’s ongoing network expansion strategy.
Full Range of UD Trucks Models on Display
Customers visiting the Nilai facility will have access to UD Trucks’ complete lineup of commercial vehicles, covering a broad spectrum of transport requirements.
The range includes the light-duty Kuzer, medium-duty Croner, and flagship heavy-duty Quester models, allowing fleet operators and businesses to explore solutions tailored to their operational needs.
Beyond vehicle sales, the facility is equipped with four dedicated service bays capable of handling routine maintenance and repair work. The workshop also features specialised diagnostic equipment and a comprehensive inventory of genuine UD Trucks spare parts to support faster turnaround times and improved vehicle uptime.
Strategic Location for Growing Industrial Activity
According to TCIE Chief Operating Officer Loh Thim Choy, Nilai was selected due to its strategic location and strong connectivity to major highways and commercial developments.
He noted that being closer to customers remains a key priority for UD Trucks and TCIE, particularly as logistics, construction, and industrial activities continue to expand throughout the region.
Loh added that the new dealership will not only make it easier for businesses to access UD Trucks products and services, but also provide additional value through the company’s UD Extra Mile Services programme. This includes genuine parts support, service agreements, and 24-hour roadside assistance aimed at maximising fleet productivity and minimising downtime.
Nearly Five Decades of Industry Experience
For Soon Seng Automobile, the appointment as a UD Trucks dealer represents a significant new chapter in the company’s history.
Established in 1978, the company has been involved in Malaysia’s transport industry for almost 50 years and sees the partnership as an opportunity to further strengthen its presence in the commercial vehicle sector.
The company said it intends to combine its industry experience with UD Trucks’ product portfolio and aftersales capabilities to better support transport operators and businesses across the region.
Vehicle Handover Marks Opening Celebration
To commemorate the launch of the new dealership, UD Trucks and TCIE also conducted a vehicle handover ceremony involving two customers.
Logisteed Malaysia Sdn Bhd, an existing UD Trucks customer specialising in logistics services, took delivery of three new UD Quester units to support its operations.
Meanwhile, LLC Infra Sdn Bhd, an engineering and construction company that recently joined the UD Trucks customer base, received two UD Croner trucks.
The deliveries highlighted the growing demand for commercial vehicles across Malaysia’s logistics, infrastructure, and construction sectors.
With the opening of the Nilai 3S centre, UD Trucks now has a stronger foothold in Negeri Sembilan while reinforcing its commitment to providing accessible sales and aftersales support for customers throughout Malaysia.
