Jaguar has released the F-Type Reims Edition exclusively for the UK market. Finished in a striking French Racing Blue, just 150 units will be available, produced in either P300 or P450 RWD Coupé configurations.
The Jaguar F-Type P300 is the entry-level model having a 2.0 L turbocharged inline-4 engine rated at 300 PS. It accelerates from naught to 100 km/h in 5.7 seconds and has a top speed of 250 km/h.
The F-Type P450 on the other hand, comes with the same 5.0 L supercharged V8 as the F-Type R, but detuned to 450 PS. It does the century sprint in 4.6 seconds and has a top speed of 284 km/h.
The bespoke exterior shade is reserved only for the F-TYPE Reims Edition, which becomes the second Jaguar in the series, following the XE Reims Edition late in 2019.
Other exterior enhancements include the standard fitment of the Exterior Black Pack, with gloss black side vents, Jaguar script and Leaper, and grille surround. A set of 20-inch five split-spoke gloss black alloy wheels are the perfect accompanying detail.
Inside, Reims Edition customers are treated to a timeless Ebony/Ebony interior combination, finished with the Interior Black Pack – gloss black door switches, door handles, instrument cluster finisher and more – and some carefully selected options.
Among them buyers will find the Fixed Panoramic Roof, heated seats and the Climate Pack, to include two-zone climate control, heated steering wheel and a heated windscreen.
The Reims Edition moniker is inspired by Jaguar’s sporting heritage, specifically the D-type’s maiden victory at the 12 Hours of Reims in 1954 which marked the start of a truly golden era in Jaguar competition history, and went on to influence all future Jaguar sports cars, from E-type to F-Type.
The E-type itself celebrates its 60th anniversary this year and is commemorated by another very special F-Type produced by Jaguar’s Special Vehicles’ Bespoke team.
The limited-edition F-Type ‘Heritage 60 Edition’ is finished in Sherwood Green – another nostalgic colour choice – and comes with 1960’s inspired details, a bespoke interior and commemorative badging befitting the iconic E-type’s diamond anniversary.
Rawdon Glover, Jaguar Land Rover UK MD, said, “With the F-Type Reims Edition we’re able to take the most advanced sports car we’ve ever produced, imbue it with a little bit of Jaguar racing heritage and deliver our customers even more value and exclusivity. For just 150 UK customers, and in the enormously important year for Jaguar’s sports car history, the F-TYPE is more enticing than ever.”
Jaguar has just unveiled the Vision Gran Turismo SV; an all-electric virtual endurance race car that was designed and engineered for Gran Turismo driving simulator.
The Jaguar Vision Gran Turismo SV, which was developed from the existing Vision Gran Turismo Coupe, was made specifically for high-speed stability over a long period of time under extreme conditions.
In an effort to conduct a real-world design study, Jaguar has built a full-scale model of the Vision Gran Turismo SV, which is arguably the most radical interpretation of an all-electric Jaguar race car yet.
Powered by four electric motors developed by Jaguar Racing, the Vision Gran Turismo SV makes a massive 1,903 PS and 3,360 Nm of torque, and sprints from naught to 100 km/h in a mindblowing 1.65 seconds while clocking a top speed of 410 km/h. Each motor has its own single-speed transmission.
Power comes from a state-of-the-art lithium-ion battery pack which is housed low down in the GT SV’s light, stiff body structure, delivering a low centre of gravity, a low roll centre and near-perfect weight distribution.
According to Jaguar, the Vision Gran Turismo SV was fully engineered in the virtual world, and its aerodynamics was optimised, tested, and proven using state-of-the-art simulation tools.
As far as the design goes, the Jaguar Vision Gran Turismo SV takes inspiration from iconic racing Jaguars of the past like the C-type, D-type, XJR-9, and of course, the Jaguar XJR-14.
The Vision GT Coupé’s silhouette is still clearly recognisable in the GT SV, including the curvature of the C-type and D-type-inspired fenders, and – even with the additional motor driving the front axle – the wheelbase remains unchanged at 2,721mm.
Measuring 5,540mm from nose to tail, the GT SV is 861mm longer overall – a change driven entirely by aerodynamics. To deliver the increased downforce needed for greater traction for faster cornering and increased high speed stability on long straights, the GT SV has a new front splitter and a new deployable rear wing.
In addition to the larger, more effective splitter – which produces downforce over the front axle – apertures in the front valance channel air across the face of the front wheels to reduce turbulence and help air to flow cleanly towards the rear of the car. Air passing through the wheel wells is also smoothed towards the rear via exit vents in the fenders.
The completely enclosed, sculpted underbody – which includes a keel element behind the front axle to aid high-speed stability – accelerates airflow, reducing its pressure and therefore helping to reduce lift, before it exits at the rear via a large venturi.
That being said, the Jaguar Vision Gran Turismo SV will be coming to the Gran Turismo game in 2021. So, if you don’t have a PlayStation, it’s about time you got your hands on one just to give this machine a try.
If you happen to own a vehicle from a brand under Sime Darby Motors Malaysia, and it is no longer under warranty, finding genuine parts a competitive price will no longer be an issue. Here’s why…
Sime Darby Motors Malaysia (SDM Malaysia) has teamed up with SpareXhub, in its ongoing efforts to further digitalize the customer experience to offer vehicle owners an additional avenue to purchase genuine automotive spare parts at highly competitive prices.
“This collaboration is a good example of how we consistently innovate and leverage on technology partners to enhance the customer journey, especially in the face of the current pandemic limiting in-person experience.
It is also in line with our digital transformation plan to have end-to-end digital solutions by allowing contactless orders, payment and delivery, for an improved customer experience.

To celebrate the 60th anniversary of its iconic sports car, Jaguar Classic is creating six limited-edition matched pairs of restored 3.8-litre 1960s E-types paying tribute to two of the most famous examples: ‘9600 HP’ and ‘77 RW’, known as the E-type 60 Collection.
Jaguar today unveiled the F-Pace SVR, the pinnacle of the brand’s performance SUV range which is capable of doing things that will put even a few supercars to shame.
Powered by a 5.0-litre supercharged V8 engine, the new Jaguar F-Pace SVR now makes 550PS and features a revised torque curve that enables the SUV to produce 700 Nm and hit a top speed of 286 km/h. Despite the bump in power, Jaguar claims that fuel consumption has improved.
In case you’re wondering how quick the F-Pace SVR is, it can sprint from naught to 100km/h in exactly 4.0 seconds, which is three-tenth of a second quicker than before.
Other technical highlights include a new steering rack with SV calibration and retuned dampers that translate to better handling and a more engaging driving experience.
The brakes have also been tweaked with an improved cooling system, a new Integrated Power Booster, as well as retuned pedals.
Jaguar’s All-Wheel Drive with Intelligent Driveline Dynamics is also fitted as standard. The technology has a rear-wheel drive bias for enhanced driver engagement and performance, with predictive and reactive software that can distribute torque to the front and rear axles independently, and almost instantly, to provide greater control and stability in low traction conditions.
The retuned rear Electronic Active Differential delivers enhanced performance and greater confidence when required.
Further complementing the whole package is the Adaptive Dynamics suspension technology which ensures a precise, dynamic set-up coupled with a supple ride. In order to achieve this, the technology constantly analyses acceleration, steering, throttle and brake pedal inputs.
Height sensors at each corner of the vehicle measure the vertical body movement, roll and pitch 100 times a second, while steering inputs are measured 500 times a second. Adaptive Dynamics uses these inputs to continually adjust the damper stiffness to maximise comfort and control.
And then we have the Configurable Dynamics that provides enhanced driver appeal by enabling the driver to set up the vehicle to suit their personal preferences, with a choice of Comfort or Dynamic settings applied to the throttle mapping, gear shift points, steering effort and suspension.
A stopwatch, G-Meter and pedal graph also help the driver to monitor performance in Dynamic mode while Adaptive Dynamics continuously adjusts the dampers for enhanced comfort and refinement depending on road and driving conditions.
The new F-Pace’s chassis now supports the introduction of the latest JaguarDrive Control and new Auto Vehicle Hold function. JaguarDrive Control features Comfort, Eco, Rain-Ice-Snow and Dynamic modes, which can be chosen manually by the driver based on the road conditions.
The settings, selected through a new rotary dial next to the all-new Drive Selector, optimise the F-Pace SVR’s steering, transmission, throttle and (when specified) Adaptive Dynamics settings accordingly.
Auto Vehicle Hold provides added convenience and smoother operation than conventional Automatic Hill Hold. The new technology holds the brakes for an unlimited period of time when stationary on a gradient, only releasing the brakes when the driver depresses the accelerator to drive away.
On the exterior, the Jaguar F-Pace SVR features a tweaked front end which offers reduced lift and also less drag. Plus, it also makes the F-Pace SVR look much fiercer than the regular F-Pace.
Inside, the cabin features a generous dose of performance-oriented components that offer a luxurious, yet sporty feel for the driver and occupants.
Taking care of infotainment is Jaguar’s latest Pivi Pro dual-sim infotainment system which is accessed through an all-new 11.4-inch HD curved glass touchscreen. The system also cmes with Software-Over-The-Air capability which ensures that the latest vehicle systems and infotainment are installed seamlessly and remotely.

The limited edition F-Pace, Jaguar’s best-selling performance SUV, has been introduced into the Malaysian market with a new 2.0-litre, turbocharged 300PS Ingenium petrol engine.
The F-Pace now comes with a new engine that is by far Jaguar’s most powerful 2.0-litre Ingenium Petrol engine in production, kicking out 300PS and 400Nm of torque, and enabling the SUV to do the century sprint in 6.1 seconds while hitting 233km/h of top speed. Paired to the engine is the ZF 8HP45 eight-speed automatic transmission.
A sweetener for the F-Pace impressive features is the state-of-the-art pendulum damper in the torque converter that is extremely effective at absorbing low frequency vibrations. This enables the engine to run at lower speeds without compromising refinement.
The powered-up F-Pace is also equipped with Configurable and Adaptive Dynamics. The Configurable Dynamics which is standard on the R-Sport variant, allows drivers to choose Normal or Sports settings for the throttle response, gearbox and steering, thus creating a very personalised driving experience.
The Adaptive Dynamics on the other hand, modifies the damper response to match the different conditions and driving style. It analyses acceleration, cornering, throttle and brake pedal activity to optimise the suspension settings and maintain the car’s dynamism and comfort. Adaptive Dynamics is available in the highest specifications only.
With only 20 units available for sale, this limited edition Jaguar F-Pace is feature-packed with a range of systems that enhance one’s driving experience, which include the Gesture tailgate, 10-inch Touch Pro, Pro Services and Wi-Fi Hotspot, Lane Keep Assist and Driver Condition Monitor.
In addition, Apple CarPlay and Android Auto for seamless smartphone integration also come as standard for all three variants.
The Prestige variant, which is the entry-level version, offers enhanced exterior and other convenient features including a Tyre Pressure Monitoring System, a 20-inch 5 split-spoke ‘Style 5031’ with Grey Diamond Turned finish alloy wheel, as well as the Rear Seat Remote Release Levers and Power Reclining Rear Seat – all of which add to the vehicle’s unique appeal.
Additional features available in the R-Sport (Mid-Spec) variant include the Adaptive LED Headlamps and Signature Daytime Running Lights (DRL), Auto High Beam Assist (AHBA), Ambient Interior Lighting and Gloss Black Roof Rails.
Exclusively in the F-Pace R-Sport (Hi-Spec) is the Adaptive Surface Response (AdsR), which recognises differences between surfaces to exploit available grip by adjusting engine and brake settings.
The AdSR operates throughout the vehicle’s entire speed range and enables finer optimisation of the vehicle’s systems to make the most of the available traction, helping the driver make smooth progress even in the most challenging road conditions. The R-Sport (Hi-Spec) also comes with 22-inch wheels that will enhance the powerful wheel-to-body ratio of the F-PACE.
Three variants are offered:
Jaguar F-Pace Prestige – RM436,420
Jaguar F-Pace R-Sport (Mid-Spec) – RM470,212
Jaguar F-Pace R-Sport (Hi-Spec) – RM485,433
All Jaguar vehicles distributed by authorised dealers also come with a ‘Jaguar Care’ programme which includes a five-year warranty, five years’ free service and three years’ roadside assistance.
