The Proton e.MAS 7 continues its winning streak as Malaysia’s best-selling electric vehicle for the third consecutive month, cementing its position as the nation’s EV frontrunner since its launch in January.

With over 5,500 bookings and more than 1,800 units already on the road, the e.MAS 7, which is built on a platform tailored to local conditions, features a 160kW electric motor that produces 320Nm of torque and accelerates from 0–100 km/h in just 6.9 seconds. With a top speed of 175 km/h, the SUV is equally at home on city streets and highways.

Its advanced 12-in-1 drive unit has undergone extensive testing across more than 100,000 km of Malaysian roads. Meanwhile, the AEGIS Short Blade battery enables ultra-fast charging—reaching 80% capacity in just 20 minutes. A 10-minute charge can add up to 135 km of range, perfect for quick top-ups.

Designed for endurance, the battery maintains over 90% health even after 921 full charge cycles—equivalent to around 400,000 km of usage.

With a long 2,750mm wheelbase and flat cabin floor, the e.MAS 7 offers one of the roomiest interiors in its class. Highlights include ventilated and fully reclinable front seats, adjustable rear seating, and 33 smart storage solutions—including a concealed underseat compartment. Boot space extends to 1,888L with rear seats folded, with an additional 51L under the floor.

The cabin also delivers on premium features, such as 256-colour ambient lighting and a 1,000W 16-speaker Flyme audio system with WANOS surround sound and driver headrest speakers—features typically reserved for luxury models.

Tech-savvy drivers will appreciate the 15.4-inch 2.5K touchscreen and 10.2-inch digital instrument display, both powered by the intuitive Flyme Auto OS. A windshield head-up display (HUD) adds to the high-tech driving experience.

The Proton e.MAS app connects users to over 2,300 public charging points across Malaysia—including 75 DC fast chargers at Proton and smart dealerships. Drivers can locate, initiate, and pay for charging all through the app.

The vehicle also passed PROTON’s rigorous “6-Devil” battery test—surviving fire, flood, freeze, crush, scrape, and crash simulations. A crash-activated power-off system and 400mm water-wading capability further bolster its real-world readiness.
