GWM Malaysia is partnering with Touch ’n Go Sdn Bhd to make toll payments more convenient for new vehicle owners, with every eligible GWM vehicle booked and registered from 1 August 2026 set to come with a Touch ’n Go x GWM Branded RFID tag as standard.
The RFID tag will either be pre-installed or bundled with the vehicle, giving customers access to cashless toll payments from the start of ownership. The partnership is also aimed at supporting Malaysia’s move towards Multi-Lane Fast Flow (MLFF) and wider digital mobility adoption.

The programme applies to eligible vehicle registrations in Peninsular Malaysia.
GWM Malaysia Chief Operating Officer Roslan Abdullah said the collaboration forms part of the company’s efforts to improve the ownership experience beyond the vehicle itself, by integrating digital services and mobility solutions into everyday driving.
GWM Malaysia Records Best-Ever First Half
The partnership comes as GWM Malaysia reports its strongest-ever first-half performance, with 3,166 vehicles delivered in the first six months of 2026.
That represents a 42.4% year-on-year increase, putting GWM among Malaysia’s Top 11 best-selling automotive brands during the period.

Sales also accelerated through the first half, rising from 1,294 units in Q1 to 1,872 units in Q2, a 44.7% quarter-on-quarter increase.
The HAVAL H6 HEV remained GWM Malaysia’s volume leader, with sales increasing from 656 units in Q1 to 895 units in Q2.
The WEY G9 Hi4 PHEV also grew from 421 units to 707 units over the same period, retaining its position as Malaysia’s best-selling luxury MPV among officially distributed OEM brands.

Meanwhile, the ORA GOOD CAT EV recorded a 93% quarter-on-quarter increase in sales.
More Hybrid Models Coming
GWM Malaysia expects its momentum to continue into the second half of 2026, helped by growing interest in electrified vehicles and an expanding model line-up.
Following its appearance at KLIMS 2026, the company is preparing to introduce the GWM ORA 5 HEV and GWM HAVAL H7 Hi4 PHEV in Malaysia.

The GWM TANK 300 HEV is also expected to build on its current market momentum as demand for hybrid vehicles continues to grow.
GWM Malaysia also welcomed the Government’s decision to defer the implementation of PUA 402, saying the move allows consumers to continue benefiting from existing vehicle pricing for longer. The company also expects proposed changes to the Hire Purchase Act to improve financing transparency and accessibility.
Merdeka Campaign Offers Up To RM30,000 Savings
GWM Malaysia will run a nationwide Merdeka and Hari Malaysia campaign from 1 August to 30 September 2026.
Customers who book a new GWM vehicle during the campaign and complete registration by 30 September will be eligible for the promotion.
Selected GWM models will be offered with savings of up to RM30,000 throughout August, while every new GWM vehicle purchased comes with five years of free service maintenance.

Six customers will also stand a chance to win up to RM1,000 in toll cashback.
The toll cashback promotion is applicable to eligible vehicle registrations in Peninsular Malaysia, with terms and conditions applying.
ORA 5 HEV Preview and Roadshows
GWM Malaysia will also hold an ORA 5 HEV preview programme at selected dealerships ahead of its official Malaysian launch.

The brand’s upcoming roadshow schedule includes:
- Vivacity Megamall, Kuching: 30 July–2 August
- CarSifu Autoshow, Mid Valley Megamall: 12–16 August
With models spanning ICE, HEV, PHEV and BEV powertrains, GWM Malaysia says it will continue expanding its electrified vehicle portfolio while adding digital solutions such as its Touch ’n Go partnership to improve the overall ownership experience.
