Sime Darby Auto ConneXion-Ford (SDAC-Ford), the sole distributor of Ford vehicles in Malaysia, has introduced the new Ford Ranger Raptor Sport 3.0 — a special-edition variant arriving as the Ranger Raptor marks its third year in the Malaysian market.
The Ranger Raptor Sport is powered by a 3.0-litre twin-turbo EcoBoost V6 tuned by Ford Performance, producing 397 PS at 5,650 rpm and 583 Nm of torque at 3,500 rpm. The powertrain is paired with FOX 2.5-inch Live Valve Internal Bypass dampers featuring Bottom-Out Control, designed to improve stability and ride comfort on- and off-road.
The variant also comes with beadlock-style wheels that feature threaded holes for true beadlock rings — available separately for drivers who require lower tyre pressures during serious off-roading. For regular driving, the wheels are fitted with cosmetic “beauty rings”.
Exterior updates include new Raptor decals and a Sport Hoop, giving the truck a more aggressive profile while reinforcing its performance-focused identity.
Since the next-generation Ranger Raptor debuted locally in 2022, Ford has continued expanding the nameplate with variants that integrate performance, advanced technology and off-road capability. SDAC-Ford says the Raptor Sport is another step in that direction.
Ford Asia Pacific Distributor Markets Executive Director Sami Malkawi said the new variant gives Malaysian buyers more flexibility and styling options within the premium performance pickup segment.
Auto ConneXion Managing Director Turse Zuhair added that the Raptor Sport’s exclusive features and strong off-road credentials are expected to appeal to the growing community of Raptor enthusiasts.
To mark the nameplate’s third anniversary in Malaysia, SDAC-Ford recently held a “Raptor Rev” gathering, drawing more than 500 owners nationwide.
The Ford Ranger Raptor Sport is priced at RM273,888 (Peninsular Malaysia) and RM277,388 (Sabah and Sarawak). It comes with a 5-year warranty and a 2-year free service package. Buyers will also receive a “Live The Ranger Life” cooler bag.
Limited units are available, and the model is now on display at Ford showrooms nationwide.
