TASCO Berhad has strengthened its haulage operations with the addition of five more Euro V-specification MAN TGS 6×2 prime movers, following the strong performance of the first 15 units introduced into its fleet last year.
One of Malaysia’s largest integrated logistics solutions providers and a subsidiary of Japan’s Yusen Logistics Co. Ltd., TASCO says the latest investment reflects its confidence in the trucks’ efficiency, reliability, and low operating costs after seven months of real-world service.

Speaking during the handover ceremony, TASCO Chief Operating Officer II and Corporate Director of the Quality & Performance Improvement Group, Haris Fazail bin Haroon, said the company has been impressed by the trucks’ overall performance since they entered service.
According to Haris, the fleet has operated without major issues while consistently delivering excellent fuel economy. He also highlighted the benefits of MAN Telematics, which allows TASCO to closely monitor vehicle performance and driver behaviour, helping the company optimise efficiency across its operations.
Beyond fuel savings, Haris noted that the comprehensive Repair and Maintenance Contract (RMC) offered by MAN Truck & Bus Malaysia has simplified fleet management by providing predictable maintenance costs throughout the contract period.

The package covers genuine MAN replacement parts and labour, eliminating the need for separate repair approvals while ensuring minimal downtime. Haris added that the extended operating hours at MAN service centres—remaining open until 2.00am—allow TASCO to send trucks in after working hours and have them back on the road the following morning.
MAN Truck & Bus Malaysia Managing Director Marc Appelt welcomed TASCO’s continued confidence in the brand, describing the expansion as further proof of the MAN TGS’ reputation for durability, efficiency, and competitive total cost of ownership.

He also emphasised that MAN ensured all TASCO drivers received comprehensive training to maximise the capabilities of the trucks’ Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS), enabling safer and more efficient fleet operations.
The latest delivery further strengthens the long-standing partnership between TASCO and MAN Malaysia, while reinforcing the growing demand for Euro V commercial vehicles among Malaysian logistics operators seeking greater efficiency, lower running costs, and improved fleet safety.
