Sabah-based retailer Servay Evergreen has added 10 units of the Isuzu ELF NPR Pro (NPR85UKL) to its delivery fleet, a move aimed at supporting network growth and improving distribution efficiency across East Malaysia.
The trucks, supplied by East Malaysian dealer WMM Ventures, will operate out of the company’s central distribution hub and handle stock movements to Servay and Servay Express outlets throughout Sabah.
For a retail chain with more than 80 locations across Sabah and Sarawak, transport uptime and cost control are critical to maintaining shelf availability and pricing competitiveness.
This is not Servay Evergreen’s first deployment of Isuzu commercial vehicles — the company has been running earlier NPR models and the Forward medium-duty series for years — and the latest purchase reflects a continuation of a proven fleet strategy rather than a trial adoption.

Reliability, predictable maintenance costs and nationwide aftersales support remain the primary procurement drivers for high-frequency distribution work.
From an operational standpoint, the Euro 4–compliant NPR Pro is positioned as a cost-reduction tool. Isuzu claims fuel savings of up to 20% depending on load and usage patterns, while the 354 Nm output at low engine speeds is tuned for stop-start urban logistics with full payloads.
The larger cargo body allows higher-volume drops per trip, reducing delivery cycles and overall fuel consumption per unit moved.
Safety and emissions compliance are also part of the upgrade cycle. The model adds SRS airbags, ABS with EBD and longer-life LED headlamps, while its diesel oxidation catalyst lowers carbon monoxide, hydrocarbon and particulate emissions — an increasingly relevant factor for companies operating large urban fleets.
For Servay Evergreen, which has diversified beyond retail into logistics, hospitality and property, fleet standardisation around a single, familiar platform simplifies driver training, parts stocking and maintenance planning. The company has indicated that further purchases — including additional NPR Pro and medium-duty Forward models — are planned as outlet expansion continues.
In practical terms, the new trucks are less about fleet renewal and more about scaling delivery capacity in line with store growth, ensuring consistent replenishment across a geographically challenging operating region.
