Edaran Tan Chong Motor Sdn. Bhd (ETCM), the authorised distributor for Nissan vehicles in Malaysia has revealed that the new Nissan NP300 Navara will be launched next month.
First unveiled in Thailand last year, the pickup truck is already available in many countries in the ASEAN region, in Australia, as well as in Europe.
According to ETCM, the truck will be powered by an improved version of Nissan’s YD25 2.5L diesel engine, which provides a maximum power output of 190 PS and 450Nm of torque, making it the most powerful pickup in its segment. Mated to the engine will be a seven-speed automatic transmission with manual mode.
Other notable features include multi-link rear suspension full LED Headlamp, Daytime Running Light, a new rear spoiler, Zero Gravity Inspired Seats similar to the ones in the X-Trail, and dual zone air conditioning with rear vents.
Malaysians eager to get up close to the pickup can visit Nissan Roadshows which will be happening around the country from 15 October.
