TQ WULING has officially launched the Porta EV in Malaysia, positioning it as the country’s most affordable electric panel van.
Distributed by Tan Chong Motor Group, the fully electric commercial vehicle arrives with a starting estimated price of RM99,800, comfortably undercutting existing electric commercial options in the local market to lower the barrier of entry for businesses transitioning to green logistics.

Variant and Pricing Details
The All-New Porta EV is available in two range variants, with differing price points across Peninsular and East Malaysia (on-the-road, commercial registration, without insurance):
| Variants (CLTC Range) | Peninsular Malaysia Price | East Malaysia Price |

Built for Logistics and High Utility

The Porta EV is designed specifically as a full-size panel van to handle demanding daily commercial operations. Key dimensions and cargo capabilities include:
- Vehicle Dimensions: 5,010 mm length, 1,800 mm width, and a height of either 1,975 mm (400km variant) or 1,960 mm (300km variant). It features a 3,050 mm wheelbase.
- Cargo Space: A generous cargo compartment measuring 2,830 mm long, 1,680 mm wide, and 1,365 mm high, yielding a total capacity of 6.5 cubic metres.
- Payload: Built with an 83% ultra-high-strength steel monocoque body, the 400km variant supports a maximum payload of up to 1,105 kg.
- Accessibility: Equipped with 777 mm-wide dual sliding side doors and 270-degree opening rear barn doors. The rear opening is perfectly sized at 1,100 × 1,100 mm to allow direct forklift access for standard pallets, aided by a low loading height of 595 mm.

Powertrain, Battery Technology, and Charging Times
The van is powered by a high-efficiency 75kW silicon-carbide (SiC) electric motor delivering 180 Nm of torque, optimized for stop-and-start urban driving.

Energy is delivered via WULING’s proprietary MAGIC EV Battery technology. The battery has undergone stringent safety tests (including high-temperature exposure, puncture, vibration, and water immersion) and features a repairable modular layout that can slash battery maintenance costs by up to 90% over its lifecycle.
Charging configurations:
- 400km Variant: Supports DC Fast Charging (30%–80%) in 20 minutes; AC Charging (20%–80%) takes 6.75 hours.
- 300km Variant: Supports DC Fast Charging (30%–80%) in 30 minutes; AC Charging (20%–80%) takes 5.15 hours.

Maintenance Costs
According to TQ WULING, the Porta EV reduces ongoing fleet operating expenditures by over 65% compared to traditional diesel vans. Scheduled servicing is required only every six months or 10,000 km, with overall routine maintenance costs projected to remain under RM2,000 across a five-year ownership block.

Peace of mind is backed by an extensive warranty suite:
- Vehicle Warranty: 5 years or 120,000 km
- Drive Motor, EV Battery, and BMS: 5 years or 200,000 km
