Hyundai Motor Malaysia recently announced the revision of the pricing of the Tucson SUV, cutting up to RM8,088 from its previous retail prices while keeping the specifications and equipment unchanged.
Effective immediately, the Hyundai TUCSON now starts from RM159,800 for the 1.6T Prime, down from RM164,888 previously.
The 1.6T Prestige AWD is now priced at RM179,800, reduced from RM186,888, while the range-topping TUCSON Prestige HEV is now RM189,800, down from RM197,888.
That represents savings of RM5,088 for the Prime, RM7,088 for the Prestige AWD and RM8,088 for the Prestige HEV.

Hyundai Motor Malaysia says the pricing revision is aimed at making the TUCSON more accessible to Malaysian buyers while retaining the model’s existing safety, technology and comfort features.
Importantly, there are no changes to the specifications or equipment as part of the price revision. Buyers therefore get the same TUCSON package at the lower prices. All three variants continue to come with Hyundai’s SmartSense suite of safety and driver-assistance technologies.
The range also gives buyers three different powertrain configurations. The entry-level Prime and Prestige AWD use a 1.6-litre turbocharged petrol engine, while the Prestige HEV combines its petrol engine with a hybrid powertrain.
The TUCSON has been one of Hyundai’s key global models since its introduction in 2004. Hyundai says more than 10 million units have been sold worldwide, making it the brand’s global bestselling SUV.
In Malaysia, the TUCSON sits in the increasingly competitive midsize SUV segment, where buyers are now offered a wider choice of petrol, hybrid and electrified models.
The latest pricing adjustment therefore makes the TUCSON’s hybrid variant particularly notable, with the Prestige HEV now dipping below the RM190,000 mark.
Hyundai Motor Malaysia Managing Director Jahabarnisa Haja Mohideen said the company wanted to make the TUCSON more accessible while retaining the quality, safety and ownership experience associated with the model.
The revised prices are effective immediately, with the Hyundai TUCSON Prime starting at RM159,800. For buyers considering a premium-oriented SUV with a choice of turbocharged petrol or hybrid powertrains, the new pricing gives the TUCSON a lower entry point without requiring any compromise in its existing specification.
