WTC Automotif (M) Sdn Bhd (WTCA), the exclusive distributor of GAC vehicles in Malaysia, has officially announced the retail prices for the all-new GAC M8 PHEV, a luxury plug-in hybrid MPV that blends advanced hybrid performance with first-class comfort and modern design.
The GAC M8 PHEV is offered in two variants — the Premium, priced at RM328,800, and the Luxury, at RM388,800 (on-the-road, without insurance, for Peninsular Malaysia).
To mark its market debut, customers who book their vehicles before 31 December 2025 will receive a two-year complimentary scheduled maintenance package and a portable charging cable, worth a combined RM3,800. These introductory perks are available for a limited period and subject to terms and conditions.
Powering the M8 PHEV is a 2.0-litre turbocharged engine paired with a 2-speed Dedicated Hybrid Transmission (DHT) and an electric motor, producing a combined 372 PS and 630 Nm of torque. The system is supported by a 25.57 kWh battery and a 56-litre fuel tank, offering a remarkable driving range of up to 1,038 km on a full tank and charge — striking a refined balance between power, efficiency, and endurance.
Driving comfort is enhanced by an Adaptive Vehicle Dynamics Control System and Electromagnetic Damping Suspension, which adjust to changing road conditions for optimal ride stability. Drivers can select from three intelligent modes — Intelligent Hybrid, All-Electricity First, and Power Preservation — to tailor the driving experience according to performance or efficiency needs.
Visually, the M8 PHEV exudes presence with its bold “Lion-like” front fascia, “Awakening Eye” LED headlamps, and 18-inch alloy wheels featuring self-levelling centre caps. Inside, the MPV offers a tranquil, lounge-like experience with semi-aniline leather upholstery, extended 480 mm second- and third-row sliding rails for best-in-class legroom, and meticulous noise insulation through 108 sound-damping points and Engine Noise Control (ENC). The Cool-Sense air-conditioning system delivers gentle, draft-free airflow to enhance passenger comfort.
Safety remains a key focus, with GAC introducing the world’s first rear windscreen airbag as part of the M8’s 360° airbag system. The MPV also includes Level 2 Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS) and Full Automatic Parking Assist (FAPA), ensuring peace of mind in all driving conditions.
Every GAC M8 PHEV is backed by a 5-year/150,000 km vehicle warranty and an 8-year/150,000 km battery warranty, whichever comes first.
The GAC M8 PHEV is now available for viewing and test drives at GAC showrooms nationwide by appointment. As part of the launch campaign, the model will be featured at a series of roadshows, including Johor Mid Valley SouthKey Centre Court (5–9 November) and the Malaysia Car of the Year Showcase at 1 Utama (12–16 November).
