Malaysia’s premium EV and new energy vehicle space just got a new flagship contender. Denza has officially launched the all-new Denza B8 in Malaysia, with prices starting from RM458,800 for the Dynamic variant and going up to RM518,800 for the range-topping Premium model.
That pricing also makes the Denza B8 the most expensive Chinese-branded passenger vehicle currently on sale in Malaysia, putting it directly into territory traditionally occupied by established European luxury SUVs.

The Denza B8 is available in two variants:
- Dynamic (7-seater) – RM458,800
- Premium (6-seater) – RM518,800
Unlike most large SUVs entering the market today, the B8 is not a fully electric model. Instead, it debuts Denza’s new Dual Mode Off-Road (DMO) Super Hybrid technology in Malaysia, combining a turbocharged petrol engine with dual electric motors and a large battery pack.

At the heart of the B8 is a 2.0-litre turbocharged engine paired with dual motors and BYD’s Blade Battery technology. Combined output stands at an impressive 450kW and 760Nm, delivered through an intelligent all-wheel drive system designed for both road use and genuine off-road capability.
The SUV also packs a sizeable 36.8kWh battery, enabling up to 115km of pure EV driving range on the NEDC cycle. Combined with a 91-litre fuel tank, Denza claims a total driving range of up to 1,040km.

Charging performance is equally serious, with support for 120kW DC fast charging that allows a 30% to 80% recharge in just 16 minutes. The B8 also supports 11kW AC charging and even comes with Vehicle-to-Load (V2L) functionality.

One of the B8’s standout features is its DiSUS-P Intelligent Hydraulic Body Control System. Essentially, this adaptive suspension setup allows up to 140mm of ride height adjustment while improving both ride comfort and off-road capability.
Denza says the system enables the B8 to tackle water crossings up to 890mm deep, while approach and departure angles of 34 and 35 degrees respectively further reinforce its off-road credentials.

Visually, the B8 adopts what Denza calls a “Starship Mecha” design language, giving it a bold and futuristic appearance. Inside, the focus shifts towards luxury and comfort, with Nappa leather upholstery, a premium Devialet 18-speaker sound system, and electrically adjustable seating throughout the cabin.
The biggest difference between the two variants lies in the seating layout. The Premium model gets a more luxurious 6-seat configuration with second-row captain seats complete with ottomans, massage, and ventilation functions. Meanwhile, the Dynamic variant offers a more practical 7-seat layout with a conventional second-row bench.

Buyers will also receive a fairly comprehensive ownership package, including:
- 6-year / 150,000km vehicle warranty
- 8-year / 160,000km battery warranty
- 8-year / 160,000km drive unit warranty
- 6 years of complimentary scheduled maintenance
- Complimentary V2L adapter

The Denza B8 will make its first public appearance from 22 to 24 May 2026 at Bangsar Shopping Centre, Pavilion Bukit Jalil, as well as selected Denza showrooms nationwide.
For Denza, the B8 represents more than just another SUV launch. It is also a statement that Chinese brands are no longer merely chasing affordability, but are now aggressively moving into the ultra-premium space with technology-heavy products designed to challenge legacy luxury marques head-on.
