Maserati has appointed Atlantis Automobili Sdn. Bhd., an associate company of Atlantis Motor Group, as its official importer and distributor in Malaysia, effective 19 May 2026.
The appointment marks a new chapter for the Italian luxury marque, with Atlantis Automobili taking responsibility for Maserati’s sales, aftersales, customer experience, brand development and dealer network operations in Malaysia.
The company says its immediate priority is ensuring a smooth transition for existing owners, with uninterrupted aftersales support and customer care remaining a key focus.
Focus on Maserati owners
According to Atlantis Automobili Executive Director Dato’ Douglas Cheng Heng Lee, maintaining customer confidence will be central to the company’s plans for Maserati in Malaysia.

The company intends to strengthen the ownership experience beyond the vehicle itself, with a greater emphasis on aftersales service, customer relationships and long-term support.
Existing Maserati owners will continue to receive aftersales and customer support during the transition, with dedicated communication channels to be introduced for enquiries and updates.
More investment planned
Atlantis Automobili says it is preparing a series of strategic investments and enhancements aimed at strengthening Maserati’s presence in Malaysia.
Details of upcoming facilities, customer initiatives and other developments will be announced at a later date.
The company also plans to introduce Maserati’s future product portfolio to Malaysian customers as part of its longer-term strategy for the brand.
For customers and enthusiasts, this means the coming months are expected to bring a renewed focus on aftersales excellence, ownership experience and engagement with the Maserati community.
Continuing Maserati’s Italian identity
The new distributor takes over Maserati operations as the brand continues to build on its long-standing identity around Italian GranTurismo – a philosophy combining design, performance, craftsmanship, luxury and technology.
Maserati’s Trident emblem dates back 100 years in 2026, while the brand itself has more than 112 years of history.

Julie Taieb-Doutriaux, Head of Maserati APAC, said Malaysia remains an important market within Maserati’s Asia Pacific operations, adding that the appointment is intended to reinforce the brand’s long-term commitment to customers in the country.
Atlantis Automobili is part of Atlantis Motor Group, a regional automotive group with operations spanning different areas of the automotive value chain.
With the new partnership, Maserati is looking to build on its existing presence in Malaysia while strengthening the fundamentals of the business – particularly customer service and aftersales support.
For Maserati owners, the immediate message is one of continuity. For prospective buyers, the bigger story will be what Atlantis Automobili brings next as it begins investing in the brand’s facilities, customer experience and future model line-up in Malaysia.
