Continental Tyres has introduced the UltraContact UX7, a next-generation tyre tailored specifically for the demands of urban SUV drivers. This latest release is engineered to deliver enhanced safety, superior durability, and quieter performance—key qualities sought by today’s increasingly diverse SUV market.

Unlike standard tyres, the UltraContact UX7 has been specifically constructed to address the heavier build and higher center of gravity of SUVs. These structural differences require tyres that provide superior stability and handling across a variety of driving environments.
Equipped with Continental’s proprietary SUV Confidence+ Technology, the UX7 focuses on three core pillars—safety, durability, and noise comfort.
At the heart of the UX7’s performance are X-Force Macroblocks, which increase road contact and ensure a more stable driving experience, even when navigating sharp corners or uneven terrain. A specially formulated Adaptive Diamond Compound enhances braking performance by efficiently converting kinetic energy into heat, while Aqua Channel technology ensures rapid water dispersion to reduce hydroplaning risks in wet conditions.
The UX7 tyre also comes with Robust360 Construction, which includes a reinforced steel belt for shock absorption, a resilient carcass to minimize punctures, and polymer-enhanced compounds that extend wear life. These features help the tyre withstand the extra weight and challenges that come with SUV travel—whether on smooth asphalt or gravel paths.
With the shift towards electric SUVs, tyre noise has become more noticeable in the absence of engine sound. The UltraContact UX7 combats this with a precision-cut tread and Continental’s Noisebreaker 3.0 technology, which disperses sound waves before they enter the vehicle cabin, ensuring a smoother, quieter journey.
The UltraContact UX7 will be available from Q2 2025, with sizes ranging from 15 to 22 inches to suit a variety of crossovers and SUVs. Consumers can purchase the new tyres at authorized Continental retailers or via the brand’s official online stores on Shopee, TnG, and Lazada.
