Chery Malaysia has officially launched its new flagship SUV, the all-new Chery Tiggo 9, bringing a more premium offering to its local lineup. As the largest model in the Tiggo family available in Malaysia, the seven-seater SUV combines luxury, technology, performance and practicality in a package aimed at buyers seeking an upscale family vehicle.
While only one locally assembled (CKD) variant is offered, customers can choose between two early-bird launch packages. The Flexi package is priced at RM166,800, while the more comprehensive Prime package costs RM179,800, both on-the-road without insurance.

Exterior Design
At the front, the Tiggo 9 features a large diamond-pattern grille is flanked by sleek LED headlamps and dynamic lighting elements that give the SUV a modern appearance.
Other notable exterior highlights include 20-inch alloy wheels, flush-fitting door handles, puddle lamps and full-width LED taillights with a distinctive diamond-inspired lighting signature. The overall design strikes a balance between elegance and road presence.
Cabin
Inside, the Tiggo 9 offers a versatile three-row layout designed to accommodate both passengers and cargo with ease.
Depending on the seating configuration, luggage capacity ranges from 143 litres with all seats in use to a substantial 2,065 litres when the rear seats are folded. This flexibility makes the SUV suitable for daily commuting, family duties and long-distance travel alike.
Comfort Features
Chery has equipped the Tiggo 9 with a long list of comfort-focused features. The front seats come with built-in massage functions, while both the first and second-row seats feature ventilation to help occupants stay cool in Malaysia’s hot climate.
A panoramic sunroof enhances the sense of space inside the cabin, while a 14-speaker Sony premium audio system provides an immersive listening experience.
Rear passengers also benefit from dedicated climate controls, rear air vents, privacy glass and sunshades, helping create a more comfortable environment during longer journeys.
Standard Features
Technology plays a major role in the Tiggo 9’s appeal. Dominating the dashboard is a 15.6-inch infotainment display powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8155 processor.
The system supports wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto connectivity, while other convenience features include wireless smartphone charging, a driver monitoring system, 64-colour ambient lighting and a head-up display.
Additional premium touches include an armrest storage compartment with cooling functionality and an electrically assisted steering system designed to improve driving comfort.
256 PS Turbocharged Powertrain
Under the bonnet, the Tiggo 9 is powered by a 2.0-litre turbocharged TGDI petrol engine producing 256 PS and 390 Nm of torque.
Power is delivered to all four wheels through a seven-speed dual-clutch transmission, allowing the SUV to handle both urban and highway driving with ease.

Safety
Safety is another key selling point of the Tiggo 9. Its body structure consists of 85% high-strength steel, with 21% of the construction using hot-formed steel to improve rigidity and crash protection.
The SUV is also equipped with 10 airbags and an extensive Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS) package featuring 23 functions under Chery’s ADAS 2.5 suite.
One of the standout features is Automatic Park Assist, which can automatically steer the vehicle into suitable parking spaces with minimal driver input.
Colours
The all-new Chery Tiggo 9 is available in Matte Grey and Carbon Black exterior finishes.
That being said, the all-new Chery Tiggo 9 represents the brand’s most luxurious offering in Malaysia to date. Priced from RM166,800, it enters the market as a value-focused alternative to established D-segment SUVs while offering an extensive list of features typically found in more expensive rivals.
