There are more than 17 million registered vehicles owners in Malaysia, making Malaysia one of the highest ranking countries in South East Asia in car ownership.
Out of the lot, about 90% of car owners actually lack of car maintenance know-how and knowledge, therefore, spending unnecessary money. This means that car maintenance has become a concerning issue to every car owner.
Also, Covid19 lockdowns has transformed the way we do business. Going digital is the new- norm for all industry to prosper in the future, including the Auto Industry.
That’s the main reason the Autonest App was introduced, with the aim of being the “Food Panda” of the automotive service industry which will cover all the categories of services in Malaysia.
How the Autonest App works is that it can locate and book a service appointment with the workshop and minimise waiting time and provide ease of mind, while also minimising the risk of being exposed to Covid19.
All of the app’s panel workshops and merchants are rateable by the users as well, in an effort to encourage improvement to the standard of service provided by the merchants and service providers.
With the friendlier MCO policy, the platform is said to be growing rapidly, with more than 100,000 active Autonest users both online and offline.
It is also said that more than 500 related businesses in the auto industry have joined Autonest. Currently, the app is focused primarily in Klang Valley and Johor.
According to Autonest, the app will soon be expanding its network to the Northern Region as well as the East Coast. The folks at Autonest said that their target is to get 10,000 businesses in the automotive industry across the country to join Autonest within the next two years.
