Dunlop is ramping up its presence in Malaysia with an expanded dealer network, a growing tyre lineup and continued investment in products tailored for local motorists, as the brand looks to strengthen its position in the country’s replacement tyre market.
Since May 2026, Dunlop has increased its nationwide dealer network by more than 30%, growing from around 150 outlets to over 200 across Malaysia. The expansion is aimed at improving accessibility while reinforcing the brand’s nationwide sales and aftersales support.
Although the brand has been in Malaysia for decades, having established the country’s first local tyre manufacturing facility in 1963, Dunlop is now focusing on making its premium tyre technologies more accessible under the stewardship of Toyotsu Binter Malaysia Sdn Bhd, with engineering support from Sumitomo Rubber Industries.

According to Toyotsu Binter Malaysia Managing Director Marcus Lim, Malaysia remains a key market for the brand’s future growth plans as motorists increasingly seek tyres that balance safety, performance and value.
Beyond expanding its retail footprint, the company plans to make Dunlop products available through a wider range of tyre dealers, automotive service centres and future retail channels while strengthening partnerships across Malaysia’s automotive aftermarket.
To support its growth strategy, Dunlop has also broadened its product portfolio to cater to different vehicle segments.
Its current range includes the Blue Response TG for passenger cars, the SP Sport Maxx 060+ for performance-oriented drivers, and the Grandtrek R/T01 designed for SUVs and pickup trucks. The company also confirmed that the e.Sport Maxx, a tyre developed specifically for electric vehicles, will be introduced to the Malaysian market in the future.

Apart from the replacement tyre business, Dunlop continues to supply original equipment (OE) tyres for selected models from several automotive manufacturers, including Toyota, Lexus, Isuzu, Mazda and Leapmotor.
The company said it remains committed to maintaining high standards of product quality, supply reliability and customer support for its OEM partners while ensuring a consistent supply of tyres for vehicle manufacturers.
Looking ahead, Sumitomo Rubber Asia (Tyre) Managing Director Takehiko Asai said Dunlop will continue investing in next-generation tyre technologies that improve energy efficiency, wet-weather performance, rolling resistance and cabin noise reduction. The company is also developing intelligent tyre technologies to support the future of connected and electrified mobility.
With Malaysia identified as one of its strategic growth markets, Dunlop said it will continue expanding its dealer network, introduce more products suited to local driving conditions and strengthen collaborations across the automotive aftermarket to support its long-term growth plans.
