Mazda is raising the bar in Malaysia’s premium SUV segment with the introduction of the new Mazda CX-60 3.3L MHEV, which is now open for booking nationwide with an estimated starting price of RM250,000.
Following the arrival of the CX-60 2.5L last year, this new variant brings something increasingly rare in today’s automotive landscape – a turbocharged 3.3-litre inline-six engine paired with a 48-volt mild hybrid system.

It also marks Mazda’s continued push upmarket, offering buyers a more refined, premium, and performance-oriented alternative to conventional four-cylinder SUVs.
Built on Mazda’s Large Product Architecture, the CX-60 3.3L MHEV adopts a rear-wheel-drive-based platform with i-Activ AWD, placing it in a unique position among rivals in its price bracket.

Under the bonnet is Mazda’s e-SkyActiv G 3.3-litre turbocharged inline-six engine, producing 280 hp and 450 Nm of torque. Working alongside Mazda’s M Hybrid Boost mild-hybrid system and an eight-speed automatic transmission, the powertrain promises effortless performance while maintaining respectable fuel efficiency.
Unlike many electrified SUVs that prioritise economy above all else, the CX-60 3.3L MHEV aims to deliver a more engaging driving experience thanks to its longitudinal engine layout, balanced weight distribution, and rear-biased all-wheel-drive system.

Mazda has also added an Off-Road driving mode, complementing the existing Mi-Drive settings to enhance capability across varying road conditions.
As with other models in Mazda’s premium lineup, the CX-60 places significant emphasis on craftsmanship and design.

The SUV’s exterior follows Mazda’s latest interpretation of its Kodo design philosophy, with two exclusive finishes available for the 3.3L MHEV variant: Machine Gray and Rhodium White.
Machine Gray receives a honeycomb grille treatment and black exterior accents for a sportier appearance, while Rhodium White features a more elegant grille design aimed at highlighting sophistication. Both variants ride on distinctive 20-inch alloy wheels and body-coloured wheel arches that contribute to a cleaner, more upscale look.

Inside, the cabin takes inspiration from traditional Japanese aesthetics, blending premium materials, carefully crafted stitching details, and a minimalist layout designed around the driver.
Depending on the chosen colour combination, buyers can select between a Pure White interior paired with Rhodium White exterior paint, or a Tan interior matched with Machine Gray.
