Chery Malaysia has introduced the CarLinko mobile application in Malaysia, a new digital platform aimed at enhancing the ownership experience for its plug-in hybrid electric vehicle (PHEV) customers.
The app is available exclusively to owners of the Chery Tiggo 7 PHEV and Chery Tiggo 8 PHEV, both of which were launched last year as part of the brand’s push into electrified mobility.
With a claimed combined driving range of up to 1,200km on a full charge and tank, the two models are positioned as practical options for both urban commuting and long-distance travel in Malaysia.
With the introduction of CarLinko, the focus shifts beyond outright efficiency to improving day-to-day usability. The app enables remote access to key vehicle functions, including the ability to activate the air-conditioning system prior to entering the vehicle, a feature particularly suited to local weather conditions.
It also includes a vehicle locator function designed to help users quickly identify their car’s location in large parking areas.
In addition, CarLinko supports scheduled charging, allowing owners to manage when their vehicle is charged based on their preferred timing. This function is intended to help users better control electricity usage and optimise running costs, particularly as energy prices fluctuate.
The app also provides real-time vehicle information, including battery status, fuel level, driving range, mileage, tyre pressure, and fuel consumption data. These features allow owners to monitor vehicle performance and efficiency remotely, without needing to be physically present in the car.
Beyond operational data, CarLinko integrates service-related functions such as maintenance scheduling and access to service records, giving users a consolidated view of their vehicle’s upkeep over time.
According to Chery, the CarLinko app is offered as a complimentary feature for all its PHEV customers in Malaysia. Activation for new owners is carried out during vehicle delivery, while existing owners can enable the service through authorised dealerships, where verification and secure pairing with the vehicle will be completed.
The CarLinko mobile application is now available for download via the Apple App Store and Google Play Store.
