The KOVE Moto brand officially entered the Malaysian market today with the introduction of two new models — the KOVE 800X GT adventure tourer and the KOVE 450R streetfighter — alongside the previously introduced KOVE 450 Rally.
KOVE’s arrival in Malaysia is made possible through MDua Motor Sdn Bhd, a subsidiary of AFY Mobility Industries (AMI), which has been appointed as the sole and exclusive distributor of KOVE motorcycles in the country.
While most KOVE models are currently offered as CBU (completely built-up) units, the strategic partnership aims to eventually include local assembly operations. This move will ensure that Malaysian customers benefit from ready access to spare parts, after-sales service, and warranty coverage that meet KOVE’s global standards.
At the centre of today’s launch were the KOVE 800X GT, which is a premium adventure motorcycle powered by a 799cc parallel-twin engine producing 97 hp and 80 Nm of torque.
It features multi-mode riding settings, electronic throttle control, KYB suspension, and a lightweight chassis with a dry weight of approximately 195 kg. With its proven track record in international competitions, the 800X GT blends rugged endurance with long-distance touring comfort.
Meanwhile, the KOVE 450R naked sports bike is equipped with a 443cc inline four-cylinder engine that delivers 65.3 hp and 40 Nm, pushing the bike to a top speed of 205 km/h.
With a svelte weight of just 164 kg, it offers a thrilling ride marked by sharp handling and an adrenaline-fueled character, setting a new benchmark in the mid-capacity naked bike segment.
As for the pricing, the KOVE 800X GT is priced at RM48,888, while the KOVE 450R retails at RM33,888 (both prices exclude registration, road tax, and insurance). As part of an exclusive introductory offer, the first 20 customers purchasing the 800X GT will receive a complimentary pannier box set. All current KOVE models, including the 450 Rally, are now on display at the AMI Bumirai Showroom in Petaling Jaya.
