Chery Malaysia made a bold statement at the Malaysia Autoshow 2025, unveiling an immersive and forward-looking showcase that pushes the boundaries of next-generation mobility.
Headlining the exhibit is the debut of the Chery Super Hybrid (CSH) platform, an innovation-driven plug-in hybrid electric vehicle (PHEV) system built to deliver both exceptional performance and environmental sustainability.
Chery’s display underscores its global commitment to smart, sustainable mobility, integrating advanced energy solutions with emerging automation technologies.
Among the standout attractions: a prototype flying car, intelligent humanoid robots, and interactive robotic companions—offering a glimpse into the future where transport and technology intersect seamlessly.
The newly launched Chery Super Hybrid platform stands at the centre of Chery’s showcase, marking over two decades of clean energy research and development. Key features include:
- Thermal Efficiency of 44.5%: Leading industry benchmarks for fuel efficiency and emissions.
- Extended Driving Range: Capable of reaching up to 1,200 km on a single charge.
- Stepless DHT Transmission: Accelerates from 0–100 km/h in just 4.26 seconds.
- Durable Battery System: Performs across extreme temperatures (-35°C to 60°C) with nine adaptive driving modes.
- Guardian Safety System: Offers multi-layered battery protection for safe, long-distance travel.
Speaking at the event, Dr. David Xianqiang Lu, Chief Engineer at Chery Automobile Co., Ltd., shared insights into the brand’s technological breakthroughs and the future direction of its hybrid lineup, particularly the TIGGO series of PHEVs.
Chery Tiggo Cross Makes Malaysian Debut
Chery also premiered the Tiggo Cross, the most compact SUV in its Tiggo lineup. With over 1 million units sold globally, the model makes its first appearance in Malaysia in both 1.5L HEV and 1.5L turbocharged variants. It combines daily usability with smart features and bold styling.
Additionally, the public received a sneak peek at the Tiggo 8 PHEV and Tiggo 7 PHEV, plug-in hybrid SUVs designed for both urban and long-distance driving, featuring multiple driving modes and fast-charging capabilities.
Flying Cars and Friendly Robots: A Glimpse into Tomorrow
Expanding beyond automobiles, Chery showcased its concept autonomous flying car—developed with aviation partners—built for short-distance urban air travel and vertical take-offs.
Also drawing attention was AiMOGA, Chery’s AI-powered humanoid robot. Designed to greet, interact, and assist, AiMOGA and Chery’s robotic pets demonstrated the brand’s efforts to integrate emotional AI into mobility ecosystems. These robots will also be seen in future Chery showrooms in Malaysia.
Alongside its tech showcase, the brand also offered complimentary coffee, snacks, and limited-edition merchandise to enhance the overall experience.
