Tesla Malaysia has reaffirmed its long-term commitment to the local market by maintaining the same vehicle starting prices introduced in 2025, despite the end of the electric vehicle tax holiday.
The move positions Malaysia as a continued priority for the brand as it advances its global mission to accelerate the adoption of sustainable energy.
As part of this pricing strategy, the Tesla Model 3 continues to be offered from RM169,000, while the Model Y, the world’s best-selling vehicle, retains its starting price of RM195,450.
Tesla says the decision reflects ongoing investments in infrastructure and customer accessibility nationwide, rather than passing additional costs on to buyers.
Beyond pricing, Tesla is continuing to grow its charging ecosystem across the country. The company now operates 18 Supercharging stations and 17 Destination Charging locations in Malaysia, amounting to 76 Superchargers and 79 Destination Chargers.
These facilities are designed to support both long-distance travel and daily commuting, complementing an increasing number of home charging solutions. Further expansion of the charging network is planned to enhance the overall ownership experience.
Tesla has also strengthened its footprint in East Malaysia with the opening of a new experience location at Vivacity Megamall in Kuching, Sarawak. The site allows customers to get up close with Tesla vehicles, experience the technology firsthand and arrange test drives.
To mark the opening, Tesla is offering limited-time incentives throughout January, including rewards for early orders and additional benefits under its referral programme.
Customers nationwide can continue to customise their vehicles at the same starting prices, with deliveries expected to commence from February 2026, subject to availability. Eligible buyers may also enjoy promotional savings and referral rewards, depending on ongoing campaigns.
