TASCO Berhad, a subsidiary of Japan’s Yusen Logistics Co. Ltd and one of Malaysia’s leading integrated logistics providers, has strengthened its haulage operations with the purchase of 15 MAN TGS 26.440 6×2 Euro V prime movers — marking its first acquisition of the low-emission models.
The new MAN trucks are part of TASCO’s ongoing fleet expansion programme, driven by the company’s rapid growth in warehousing operations. Since last year, TASCO has been ramping up its storage capacity nationwide and expects to reach five million square feet of warehousing space by 2026.
TASCO Group Chief Executive Andy Lee said the decision to invest in MAN’s latest Euro V trucks stemmed from multiple factors, including proven reliability, product availability, and MAN Truck & Bus Malaysia’s strong aftersales support network.

He added that the adoption of cleaner, Euro V-compliant trucks reflects TASCO’s commitment to sustainability and compliance with the Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) standards required by its multinational clientele.
“As we renew our fleet with more Euro V specification trucks, we are also meeting the ESG commitments required by our many global customers,” Lee explained.
MAN Truck & Bus (M) Sdn Bhd Managing Director Marc Appelt expressed his appreciation for TASCO’s trust in the MAN brand.
“At MAN, our goal is to simplify business for our customers so that they can focus on their core operations. We are honoured to partner with a key player like TASCO and look forward to supporting their growth,” said Appelt.

He added that the MAN TGS range, which has led Malaysia’s Euro V segment for the past four years, delivers a strong combination of technology, efficiency and dependability.
“The MAN TGS is known for its reliability, performance, and low total cost of ownership. It’s a truck that drivers appreciate for its power, safety, and comfort — making it a sustainable and cost-efficient choice for modern logistics,” Appelt added.
With this latest acquisition, TASCO reinforces its position as a frontrunner in sustainable logistics solutions, aligning its operations with global environmental standards while enhancing efficiency and service delivery across Malaysia.
