Lexus Malaysia today announced that the new LM350; essentially the most luxurious version of the Toyota Alphard, is now open for booking. Can you guess how much it costs?
Although the Lexus LM350 looks very much like its Toyota twin, it is actually a mini first class flight inside. Key features on the exterior include Lexus’ signature large spindle grille, the ultra-compact 3-beam LED projector headlights, 18-inch noise-reducing alloy rims finished in hyper chrome metallic, as well as a generous dosage of chrome accents.
Under the hood lies a 3.5-litre quad cam V6 petrol engine pushing out 296 hp and 361 Nm of torque, paired with a direct-shift 8-speed automatic transmission.
Inside, the Lexus LM350 comes with a 12.3-inch touch screen with controls that be activated through a touch pad, Apple CarPlay and Android Auto connectivity, as well as plush semi-aniline leather seats for the front occupants.
At the rear, which is the main highlight of the Lexus LM350, there are just two seats, but each is an Adaptipedic VIP lounge seat with an abundance of space.
Occupants can activate the Ottoman massage function in the air cooled/heated seats through touch controls on the rear central console, enjoy the 19-speaker Mark Levinson reference sound system, or watch the 26-inch full HD display panel mounted between the two rows of seats, with numerous playback and connectivity options.
To ensure maximum privacy for rear occupants, Lexus engineers have even included a glass partition that can be raised or lowered at a touch of a button. Other cool features include a fold-out magazine rack, large cubicles on both sides of the vehicle to stow bags, as well as a mini fridge.
Where safety is concerned, the list of features include the Lexus Safety System + (LSS+) which features the Pre-Collision System (PCS), Dynamic Radar Cruise Control (DRCC), Lane Tracing Assist (LTA), Lane Departure Alert (LDA), Adaptive High-Beam System (AHS) and Rear Cross Traffic Alert (RCTA), plus seven airbags.
That being said, all six authorised Lexus Centres around the country will be ready to accept orders of the Lexus LM350 from today for the 4-seater Lexus LM350 which is priced at RM1,148,000 on the road without insurance (Peninsular Malaysia).
Two colours are available for the new model – Black and White Pearl Crystal Shine and all Lexus Malaysia vehicles enjoy a comprehensive 5-year unlimited mileage warranty.
With the official launch of the all-new Lexus LM350 expected to be held in May of 2021 with the first owners receiving the keys a month later, Lexus Malaysia is encouraging eager buyers to place their bookings now to secure their vehicles.
UMW Toyota Motor (UMWT) is pleased to announce the upgrading of the Toyota Alphard and Toyota Vellfire premium MPV models for 2020.
Pre-launch orders will be accepted from today at all authorized Toyota dealerships and UMWT branches nationwide. The new models will go on sale with prices starting from RM383,000 for the Vellfire (one variant) and RM465,000 for the Alphard (two variants).
Customers
can choose from four exterior colours for the
Vellfire and Alphard which are CBU (completely built-up) imported vehicles from
Japan. The colour options are Luxury White Pearl CS GF (only for Alphard 3.5 Executive Lounge and
Alphard 3.5L); Burning Black CS GF (only for Vellfire 2.5L); and White Pearl C,
Graphite Metallic and Black (available for both Alphard and Vellfire).
The
latest Alphard and Vellfire have been upgraded with advanced systems being
added in two areas – Safety and Connectivity. This is in line with UMWT’s 360-T
New Brand Experience Strategy
that emphasizes Safe-T and Connectivi-T.
The new or enhanced systems are:
● Toyota Safety Sense (TSS)
● Parking Support Brake System
● 9-inch AVX Infotainment System with Apple CarPlay and
Android Auto-Ready Connectivity
● Front & Rear Digital Video Recorder (DVR)
● Vehicle Telematics System (VTS)
● Tyre Pressure Monitoring System (TPMS)
Toyota
Safety Sense (TSS) is a suite of advanced systems that provide driver
assistance to avoid accidents or reduce their severity if they occur. These
include Pre-collision System (PCS), Lane Departure Alert (LDA), Lane Tracing
Assist (LTA), and Dynamic Radar Cruise Control (DRCC) – All Speed.
With Parking Support Brake System added in the 2020 models, drivers have the support of an intelligent parking system to detect objects in the surrounding areas of the vehicle during the parking process. Should any object be detected, the brakes will be automatically applied and the engine power cut back so that collisions can be avoided. Even if a collision does occur, the early action of the system can reduce damage.
Besides
the Panoramic View Monitor (PVM) that enables the driver to view all round the
vehicle, the front and rear DVRs constantly record the views ahead and behind.
In the event of an incident and dispute, the recordings would be useful
evidence for the vehicle owner.
The
Vehicle Telematics System
(VTS) for the Vellfire and Alphard is a
connectivity feature that uses GPS/GSM to track the location of the car at all
times. This can aid recovery by the police if the vehicle is stolen. VTS can
also monitor and record vehicle speeds and other operating conditions that the
vehicle has been subjected to, with data sent by email to a designated user.
Design-wise,
the Alphard maintains its concept of “Dynamic & Formal” to give
the MPV a luxurious impression and commanding presence. The Vellfire’s design
concept is “Cool Tech” which strengthens the distinctive cool and
modern taste, giving a unique identity to the vehicle.
As with
all other models imported by UMWT, owners of the Vellfire and Alphard will
enjoy a full factory warranty for peace of mind and available of replacement
parts when required. Aftersales support is also assured with personnel trained
to service the models using the necessary special tools and equipment.
