Honda Civic and Honda BR-V Get New Platinum White Pearl Colour

Honda Malaysia has introduced a new Platinum White Pearl colour option for two of its popular models – the Civic and New BR-V, replacing the White Orchid Pearl colour.

The Platinum White Pearl colour was first introduced by Honda Malaysia in Honda’s model line-up, namely the Odyssey and the 10th Generation Accord.

According to Honda Malaysia, both the Civic and BR-V are dominating its respective segment with substantial contribution to the company’s overall sales.

When the company introduced the Platinum White Pearl colour in the Accord early this year, Honda saw good market acceptance with this colour accounting for 33% of the sales of the model.

Speaking of sales, Honda Malaysia’s second best-selling model – the 10th Generation Civic maintained its No.1 position in the C-segment with a market share of 79%.

Meanwhile, the leader of the Non-National MPV segment; the New BR-V, has sold more than 38,000 units since its introduction in 2017. The Civic in new Platinum White Pearl colour is now available in the market, while the New BR-V in this new colour is expected to be available in November 2020.

Surcharge of the Platinum White Pearl colour introduced in the Civic and the New BR-V is RM 272.73.


New Honda BR-V Gets More than 1,400 Bookings Just a Month after Launch

Honda Malaysia announced that the new BR-V has recorded more than 1,400 bookings within a month since its launch.

Since the BR-V was first introduced in Malaysia in 2017, it has quickly become one of the most popular 7-Seaters in the market with more than 32,600 units sold.

The New BR-V received high demand from customers in the Central region, which translated to 42% of the total bookings. Of the two variants available, over 85% units of booking were for the V variant, while the E variant made up the balance of the total number of bookings.

More than 24% of the bookings were for Modern Steel Metallic, which makes it the favourite colour among the New BR-V owners.

In case you’re wondering what is new with the BR-V, the exterior has received several upgrades comprising a new front grille, new front bumper with lower bumper garnish, new front fog light garnish as well as a new 16-inch dual-tone alloy wheel design.

It also has a refreshed rear design with a new shark fin antenna and new rear bumper with lower bumper garnish. Interior-wise, there are new leather seats with Red Finishing in the V variant.

Power comes courtesy of a 1.5L SOHC i-VTEC engine coupled with Continuous Variable Transmission (CVT) that produces 120PS of power. To top it off, the new BR-V is fitted with paddle shifters that offer smoother and more exhilarating driving experience.

The 7-Seater crossover also comes with the biggest trunk space at 223 litres when all seats are up and 539 litres when the third-row seats are folded down. Multiple configurations were also incorporated in the new BR-V, which are the 60:40 One Touch Tilt & Tumble in the second row and 50:50 Tilt & Full Tumble in the third row.

In conjunction with the introduction of the New BR-V, Honda Malaysia also launched two Community Relief Campaigns “Be Kind with BR-V” and “Honda Dealer Donation Drive”, to aid COVID-19 relief programmes as well as to help affected communities in the surrounding areas of Honda dealers.

The ongoing “Honda Dealer Donation Drive” campaign has been receiving favourable response from Malaysians and at the same time, Honda dealers have started to deliver the donations to their surrounding communities which have benefited many individuals and families in the country so far.


New Honda BR-V is Here, Now in Funky Purple Colour

Honda Malaysia has finally launched the new BR-V.

The 7-seater features an enhanced exterior with a new front grille, new front bumper with a new lower bumper garnish, new fog light garnish, new 16-inch wheels, a new Shark Fin Antenna, as well as a new rear bumper with lower bumper garnish.

Inside, new features include tweeters, a cargo light, cabin filter, a new 7-inch Display Audio, and new leather seats with Red Finishing.

Meanwhile, Auto Air Conditioning, Keyless Entry and Push Start Button are now new standard features in the E variant.

Performance-wise, the New BR-V is still powered by a 1.5L SOHC i-VTEC engine coupled with Continuous Variable Transmission (CVT) that produces 120PS. Oh, there are Paddle Shifters in the high spec model now, too.

Other key features include the various seating arrangements that come courtesy of the 60:40 One Touch Tilt & Tumble second row seats, and the 50:50 Tilt & Full Tumble third row seats.

Honda also claims that the BR-V has the biggest trunk space with 223 litres when all the seats are up and 539 litres when the third-row seats are folded down.

There is also a new colour which is a first in Honda Malaysia’s model line-up – Marine Purple Pearl. The full colour line-up includes White Orchid Pearl, Modern Steel Metallic, Lunar Silver Metallic and Passion Red Pearl.

Price stands at RM89,900 for the E variant, while the V variant asks for RM96,900

On another note, Honda Malaysia Sdn Bhd also kicked off two Community Relief Campaigns. One of them is the “Be Kind With BR-V” campaign, dedicated to support the COVID-19 relief programmes.

Starting from 2nd June until 31st August 2020, for every unit of the New BR-V sold, the Company will donate a portion of the proceeds to the        COVID-19 relief programmes.

At the same time, the Company has also assembled its dealers in a joint effort to support affected communities in their neighbourhood through its second campaign “Honda Dealer Donation Drive”, which runs from 1st June until 31st August 2020.

Honda customers can visit their nearest dealership to donate basic necessities such as dried foods or household items. The donations will be compiled and delivered to affected communities in the areas around the respective dealers.


New Honda BR-V Now Open For Booking

Honda Malaysia (or the Company) announced today, that the New BR-V, the Full 7-Seater Crossover with fresher appearance and upgrades is now open for booking at all 100 Honda dealerships nationwide. The much-anticipated New BR-V is set to be launched in Malaysia in Q1 2020.

The Bold Runabout Vehicle (BR-V) was first introduced to Malaysia in 2017. Combined with SUV style design and impressive versatility, the BR-V is an all-rounder crossover, which quickly became one of the most sought-after cars in the market; particularly popular among customers with family.

Honda Malaysia Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer Mr. Toichi Ishiyama said, “The BR-V was developed exclusively by Honda R&D Asia Pacific Co., Ltd. (HRAP) for the ASEAN market. It is also the first HRAP model in Malaysia. The BR-V is set to cater to the increasing market demand for a 7-seater car that is spacious and versatile at the same time. Since its launch in 2017, over 36,000 units of BR-V were sold in the country as at January 2020. This encouraging result was translated into 45%* market share in 2019, which helped the BR-V maintain its position as the segment leader*.”

The exterior of the New BR-V is upgraded with a fresher and stylish appearance while maintaining its bold and attractive traits. The front design of New BR-V has an improved Front Bumper coupled with New Front Grille, New Lower Bumper Garnish and New Front Fog Light Garnish.

The New BR-V also comes with a New Rear Lower Bumper Garnish, New Shark Fin Antenna and a New 16-inch Alloy Wheel Design. Adding to the new features, the customers can enjoy ultimate convenience and ease when entering and exiting as well as starting the car with the Keyless Entry and Push Start Button which are now the standard features for all variants.

Performance-wise, the upgraded New BR-V is powered by a 1.5L SOHC i-VTEC engine, generating maximum power output 120PS and maximum torque of 145Nm, which is the highest in its segment. This makes the BR-V deliver an impressive drivability for a 7-Seater Crossover body type.
