A major highlight is the unveiling of the Proton e.MAS 5, a new compact electric vehicle aimed squarely at young drivers and first-time EV owners. Cloaked in a striking camouflaged wrap, the e.MAS 5 debuted alongside the larger e.MAS 7 SUV, with PRO-NET positioning it as a stylish and accessible entry point into the EV market.

The e.MAS 5 will be Proton’s second EV under the e.MAS lineup, following the e.MAS 7. While smaller in size, the e.MAS 5 is equipped with the same intelligent features and forward-looking design language, reflecting the brand’s commitment to youthful innovation and sustainability. According to PRO-NET CEO Zhang Qiang, the vehicle represents “a smarter, greener, and more exhilarating” mobility future.

The unveiling coincides with the launch of the “Electrify Your Life” Campaign, running from 8 May to 31 July 2025. Malaysians are encouraged to submit personal EV slogans through a dedicated microsite for a chance to win monthly prizes—and ultimately, a brand-new Proton e.MAS 5. Roadshows across the country will give the public a first-hand look at both the e.MAS 5 prototype and the e.MAS 7.

Roadshow stops include:

  • TRX Mall, Kuala Lumpur (22–25 May)
  • Gurney Paragon, Penang (13–15 June)
  • AEON Mall, Melaka (27–29 June)
  • Paradigm Mall, Johor Bahru (3–6 July)
  • Central i-City, Shah Alam (21–24 August)

The grand prize winner will be announced at the final roadshow in Shah Alam.
