Omoda Jaecoo has officially surpassed 30,000 cumulative vehicle sales in Malaysia, marking a major milestone for the fast-growing Chinese automotive brand less than two years after its local debut in July 2024.

The achievement highlights the brand’s rapid rise in the Malaysian market, where it has quickly established itself as one of the strongest-performing non-national automotive players despite entering an increasingly competitive SUV and electrified vehicle segment.

According to Omoda Jaecoo Malaysia, the strong momentum has helped the company maintain a Top 3 position among non-national automotive brands in Malaysia year-to-date.

The milestone has been driven by the brand’s expanding product lineup, which now includes models such as the J7, J7 PHEV, J8, C9, newly launched C9 PHEV, and the latest J5.

Since arriving in Malaysia, Omoda Jaecoo has aggressively positioned itself as a lifestyle-focused premium SUV brand by combining bold styling, advanced technology, electrified powertrains, and value-driven pricing.

The company says growing customer confidence has been fuelled by increasing interest in innovation, performance, intelligent mobility, and new energy vehicle solutions.

Malaysia’s strong performance also reflects the brand’s explosive global expansion.

In under three years, Omoda Jaecoo has expanded into 64 international markets and recently crossed the one-million-unit cumulative global sales milestone, making it one of the fastest-growing automotive brands globally.

The company’s rapid international growth across Asia, Europe, and the Middle East has been supported heavily by its push into electrification and hybrid technology.

According to Chris Tan, the milestone would not have been possible without the support of customers, business partners, and the company’s dealer network.

He added that customer trust continues to play a major role in driving the brand’s momentum forward in Malaysia.

Looking ahead, Omoda Jaecoo says it will continue focusing on electrification and intelligent mobility solutions, with more new models and technologies expected to arrive in the coming months.

The company also hinted at further portfolio expansion aimed at catering to a wider range of Malaysian buyers while continuing to deliver premium driving experiences.
