Proton has announced that the All-New Proton X50 has received 5,000 bookings just 10 days after order taking began on 5 July. This follows a nationwide pre-launch tour that attracted strong public interest, with the SUV showcased at key locations across the country.
Proton reports that a booking is being made every three minutes, with half of the early bird booking quota already taken up. The first 10,000 customers are eligible for the “Ready to Roar” early bird package, which includes a RM1,000 cash rebate, a special edition Touch ‘n Go card, and an exclusive promotional deal to be revealed during the launch.

Test drives began on 19 July at Proton dealerships nationwide, allowing potential buyers to experience the upgraded model ahead of its official launch, which will take place on the evening of 24 July.
According to Zhang Qiang, Deputy CEO of Proton Edar, production at the Tanjong Malim plant has ramped up to ensure timely deliveries. “Our target is to have at least 5,000 units ready for registration by the end of August to minimise waiting times for customers,” he said.

The All-New Proton X50 introduces a redesigned exterior and interior, enhanced Level 2 advanced driver assistance systems (ADAS), a new i-GT 1.5 TD engine paired with a 7-speed dual-clutch transmission, and a 14.6-inch infotainment display with Bahasa Melayu voice recognition.
It also delivers 133 kW (181 PS) and 290 Nm of torque, completing the 0–100 km/h sprint in 7.6 seconds—0.3 seconds quicker than before—with improved fuel efficiency.

The SUV will be available in three variants: Executive, Premium, and Flagship. Full pricing will be announced at the launch event.
In conjunction with the launch, local music group De Fam will release the music video for their new single “All-New Proton X50 Ready,” created to complement the SUV’s promotional campaign.

Customers who want to take advantage of the early bird incentives are encouraged to book soon, as only 5,000 slots remain. For more information, visit proton.com or follow Proton’s official social media channels.
