BMW has officially introduced the new and improved BMW M2 Coupé alongside the new M5, gaining updates inside and out. This latest version continues to embrace its aggressive styling, powerful engine, and dynamic handling.

The iconic shape of the BMW M2 remains instantly recognisable, but small updates make it look even more confident. At the front, the wide kidney grille and bold air intakes now sit alongside new Adaptive LED headlights with Matrix technology for better visibility. Black exhaust pipes and a new silver-bordered M2 badge further distinguish this updated model.

Adding to the athletic look are new 19-inch front and 20-inch rear alloy wheels in a double-spoke design, complete with red M Compound brakes. The M Carbon Roof and high-gloss Shadowline trim give it a sharper, more performance-focused appearance.

Inside, the M2’s cockpit blends race-ready elements with the latest digital tech. The new M leather steering wheel now features a flat bottom, signature red M1/M2 mode buttons, and contrast stitching in M colours. A red stripe at the top adds a motorsport touch.

The centrepiece of the interior is the BMW Curved Display, made up of a 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster and a 14.9-inch touchscreen. It runs on the latest BMW Operating System 8.5 with M-specific graphics, giving the driver access to a fully digital and customisable interface.

The system is paired with a Harman Kardon surround sound system for an immersive audio experience.

Under the bonnet, the new BMW M2 gets a power boost. Its 3.0-litre inline-six engine now produces 480 hp (353 kW) — 20 hp more than before. This extra power gives the M2 quicker acceleration and improved performance in all driving modes.

The engine is paired with an eight-speed M Steptronic automatic transmission, delivering smooth and responsive gear shifts. Like its predecessor, the new M2 retains a rear-wheel-drive layout and a balanced 50:50 weight distribution, ensuring an engaging and connected driving experience.

Despite its performance focus, the M2 is still practical. Standard driver assistance systems include:

  • Cruise Control with braking function
  • Driving Assistant package
  • Parking Assistant for easier manoeuvres in tight spots
