The Moto Guzzi V100 Mandello will be offered in two variants at least, priced between RM99,900 and RM117,900
Didi Group, the official distributor of the Moto Guzzi brand in Malaysia today introduced the new Moto Guzzi V100 Mandello that is packed with record-breaking technology. There will be two variants with prices as mentioned below:
- Moto Guzzi V100 Mandello – RM99,900
- Moto Guzzi V100 Mandello S – RM117,000
Developed in conjunction with the brand’s 100th anniversary, the V100 Mandello is the first bike in the world to offer adaptive aerodynamics. To be more precise, there is a pair of diffusers mounted on the fuel tank which retract and close on demand, that optimise air flow. The V100 Mandello is also the first Moto Guzzi equipped with semi-active suspension, inertial platform, cornering abs and a quick shifter.
Powering the V100 Mandello is a newly developed, compact 1,042 cc 90-degree V-Twin engine which produces 115 hp at 8,700 rpm and maximum torque of 105 Nm at 6750 rpm. While 82% of the output is already available at 3500 rpm, the limiter is set at no fewer than 9,500 rpm. Paired with the engine is a six-speed gearbox which also comes with a bi-directional quick shifter.
According to Moto Guzzi, the modern design of the engine has also allowed for a restrained fuel consumption of 4.7 l/100 km and a favourable maintenance costs, with a scheduled service interval of 12,000 km.
The list of standard equipment includes a full LED light cluster with DRL, a “bending lights” system, a USB port located in the storage compartment beneath the passenger seat, cruise control, a 5-inch TFT colour instrumentation, Bluetooth connectivity, the Moto Guzzi MIA infotainment system, Tyre Pressure Monitoring System, heated grips, serial number laser-engraved onto the handlebar riser, a dedicated bike cover, and a commemorative plate.
Also part of the package are the aluminium single-sided swingarm, four riding modes, cornering ABS, traction control, semi-action suspension system, full Brembo brakes at the front and the rear, 17-inch tyres, as well as a seat height of 815 mm.
On top of all of the above, the V100 Mandello S variant gets the Öhlins Smart EC 2.0 semi-active suspension, and two dedicated colour schemes which are the Verde 2121 and Grigio Avanguardia.
