Honda has officially unveiled the Super-ONE Prototype, a new compact electric vehicle (EV) concept making its world premiere at the Japan Mobility Show 2025. The prototype will be on display at the Honda booth throughout the event, which runs until November 9, 2025.

Developed under the concept “e: Dash BOOSTER,” the Super-ONE Prototype embodies Honda’s vision of transforming everyday mobility into a more engaging and enjoyable experience. The name “Super-ONE” represents the brand’s aim to create a vehicle that goes beyond conventional expectations while remaining uniquely true to Honda’s core values of driving enjoyment and innovation.

The Super-ONE Prototype combines the environmental efficiency of an electric vehicle with the “fun-to-drive” characteristics that define the Honda brand. Based on the lightweight platform of Honda’s N Series models, the prototype delivers nimble and responsive handling. A wide stance and flared blister fenders contribute to improved stability and a more dynamic road presence.

A key highlight of the Super-ONE is its exclusive Boost Mode, which enhances power output and introduces a simulated 7-speed transmission paired with Active Sound Control. This system recreates realistic engine sounds and gearshift sensations, offering drivers an engaging experience similar to that of a traditional petrol-powered sports car.

In this mode, the vehicle also provides synchronized visual and tactile feedback, including acceleration response and vibration, further amplifying the driving experience.

To ensure robust performance, the Super-ONE Prototype has undergone extensive testing in Japan, the UK, and several Asian countries under various road and climate conditions. Earlier in 2025, the concept version — known as the Super EV Concept — participated in a demonstration run at the Goodwood Festival of Speed in the UK, showcasing its strong performance and dynamic driving capabilities to a global audience.

The exterior design of the Super-ONE focuses on aerodynamic efficiency and visual impact. Its low and wide profile, combined with functional air ducts at the front and rear, optimizes cooling and stability. The design balances practicality with a sense of motion and excitement, reflecting the model’s performance-oriented nature.

Inside, the cabin emphasizes driver engagement. Sport seats designed exclusively for the prototype ensure a stable driving posture, while a horizontally oriented instrument panel offers a clear field of vision. The interior’s blue-accented asymmetrical layout adds a modern and playful touch, enhancing the overall driving atmosphere.

Honda plans to introduce a production model based on the Super-ONE Prototype in Japan starting in 2026, followed by other markets where demand for compact EVs is strong. The vehicle will be launched under different names depending on the region: Super-ONE in Japan and the Asia & Oceania region, Honda Super-ONE in select Asian countries, and Super-N in the United Kingdom.

With the debut of the Super-ONE Prototype, Honda continues to strengthen its global electric vehicle portfolio, combining environmental responsibility with driving excitement. The model represents the company’s ongoing efforts to make electric mobility not only efficient, but also emotionally engaging — a true reflection of Honda’s commitment to the “joy of driving” in the EV era.
