Indian Motorcycle, America’s oldest motorcycle brand, has officially arrived in Malaysia. The brand is now represented locally by Spirit Lake Motor Sdn. Bhd., a subsidiary of AFY Mobility Industries (AMI). The launch event took place at Shizuku Coffee in B.Land, Petaling Jaya, marking a major step for the iconic brand in Southeast Asia.
The company’s name, Spirit Lake Motor, pays tribute to Indian Motorcycle’s U.S. production facility in Spirit Lake, Iowa—highlighting the brand’s long-standing heritage and dedication to craftsmanship.

At the launch, several Indian Motorcycle models were on display, including the Chieftain Dark Horse, Springfield Dark Horse, and multiple bikes from the popular Scout lineup—such as the Scout Bobber Twenty, Scout Rogue, and Scout Bobber.
As the official and exclusive distributor in Malaysia, Spirit Lake Motor promises more than just a range of motorcycles. It offers full ownership support with after-sales service, spare parts, technical assistance, warranty, and official merchandise. This ensures that customers get a hassle-free and complete ownership experience.

Spirit Lake Motor enters the market with deep experience in the two-wheel industry, backed by AMI’s track record in mobility solutions. The new leadership is focused on building trust and offering premium services, staying true to Indian Motorcycle’s values of reliability and legacy.
While Indian Motorcycle currently operates out of AMI’s showroom in PJ222, Petaling Jaya, a dedicated flagship showroom and lifestyle hub is set to open later this year. This upcoming 3S centre (Sales, Service, and Spare Parts) will serve as a one-stop destination for motorcycle enthusiasts.

The new space will not just be a dealership—it aims to be a community hub, bringing together riders who share a passion for Indian Motorcycle’s iconic style and spirit.
Indian Motorcycle was founded in 1901 in Springfield, Massachusetts. Originally building motorized bicycles for race pacing, it soon became famous for its powerful V-twin engines and even supplied thousands of bikes to the U.S. military during World War I.

Today, Indian Motorcycle blends its classic style with cutting-edge innovation, offering a lineup that’s both nostalgic and performance-driven.
Spirit Lake Motor is committed to growing Indian Motorcycle’s presence in Malaysia with integrity and passion. The company plans to work closely with local riders and industry partners to ensure the brand’s long-term success.

“This is more than just a business. It’s about honouring a legacy and connecting with the local riding community,” said Lai Wai Keat, Brand Manager of Indian Motorcycle Malaysia. “We invite all motorcycle enthusiasts to experience this legendary American brand for themselves.”
