Priced at RM159,800, the Chery Tiggo 8 Pro is here to take on models like the Hyundai Santa Fe, Kia Sorento, and Proton X90
In addition to the Omoda 5, Chery also introduced the Chery Tiggo 8 Pro SUV yesterday during the brand’s launch event at the Kuala Lumpur Convention Centre.
Priced at RM159,800, the Tiggo 8 Pro is a 7-seater SUV which competes with models like the Mazda CX-8, Kia Sorento, Proton X90, and the Hyundai Santa Fe.
There will only be one variant, which is powered by a 2.0-litre turbocharged four-cylinder petrol engine producing 256 hp and 390 Nm of torque. Paired with the engine is a 7-speed dual clutch transmission that sends all that power to the front wheels.
Complementing the powertrain are features like three driving modes (Eco, Normal, Sport), quad exhaust pipes, MacPherson suspension in front, Longitudinal Towing-arm Independent suspension at the rear, and disc brakes all around.
Measuring 4,722 mm in length, 1,860 mm in width, and 1,705 mm in height, the Tiggo 8 Pro comes fitted with 19-inch wheels, and a long list of standard features as mentioned below:

Available in two exterior colour options which are Dark Black and Khaki White, the Chery Tiggo 8 Pro comes with a 7-year/150,000-kilometer vehicle warranty and a 10-year/million-kilometer engine warranty for the first 3,000 customers.
The company also announced that a PHEV variant of the Tiggo 8 Pro is in the pipeline, which is expected to arrive as early as next year.
