Grab Malaysia Introduces GrabShuttle in Johor Ahead of ETS3 Launch

GrabShuttle

Grab Malaysia has announced the rollout of GrabShuttle services in Johor, reinforcing its commitment to supporting the upcoming Electric Train Service 3 (ETS3), which is scheduled to commence operations between Kuala Lumpur and Johor Bahru from 12 December 2025.

The initiative is designed to address a critical component of the travel experience—last-mile connectivity—by providing passengers with a convenient, reliable, and affordable transport option to and from JB Sentral.

With the introduction of GrabShuttle, Grab aims to ensure that ETS3 passengers can enjoy a truly seamless door-to-door journey. The service is tailored to meet the needs of both daily commuters and long-distance travellers by offering scheduled, shared shuttle services that improve accessibility while maintaining cost efficiency.

By bridging the final leg of the journey between rail stations and key destinations, GrabShuttle complements the high-speed, intercity connectivity offered by ETS3.

The integration of GrabShuttle with ETS3 reflects Grab’s broader strategy to align its mobility solutions with national and state transport initiatives. By enhancing connectivity in Johor, Grab is supporting efforts to stimulate regional mobility, reduce reliance on private vehicles, and improve the overall public transport ecosystem.

This initiative also aligns closely with tourism-focused agendas such as Visit Malaysia 2026 and Visit Johor 2026, which aim to encourage both domestic and international travel through improved accessibility and convenience.

For tourists, GrabShuttle provides a straightforward and familiar transport option upon arrival in Johor Bahru, reducing uncertainty and improving the first- and last-mile travel experience. For local residents, the service offers a dependable alternative for commuting and intercity travel, particularly during peak travel periods. By leveraging Grab’s digital platform, users can benefit from transparent pricing, ease of booking, and consistent service standards.

At its core, GrabShuttle is positioned as an inclusive mobility solution that prioritises safety, efficiency, and user experience. The service is designed to be accessible to a wide range of passengers, supporting Grab’s long-standing commitment to mobility for all.

Through this launch, Grab continues to demonstrate its role as a key enabler of integrated transport solutions, working alongside public infrastructure developments to strengthen community connections and support sustainable urban mobility.

As ETS3 prepares to reshape intercity rail travel in Peninsular Malaysia, Grab Malaysia’s introduction of GrabShuttle in Johor underscores its readiness to play a complementary role in ensuring that passengers can travel with greater ease, confidence, and convenience from start to finish.
