Mercedes-Benz Malaysia has officially launched the all-new Mercedes-Benz CLA 250+ electric in Malaysia, with prices starting at RM274,888 on-the-road without insurance for Peninsular Malaysia.
The all-new electric CLA comes with a four-year manufacturer warranty, while Mercedes-Benz is also offering its Agility+ financing programme from RM2,988 per month. The plan includes a fifth-year extended limited warranty and four Compact Service Packages.

The new CLA marks a major step in Mercedes-Benz’s electric vehicle strategy, combining a claimed WLTP range of up to 792km with fast charging, a new 800-volt electrical architecture and the brand’s next-generation MB.OS operating system.
Up to 792km of range
Powering the CLA 250+ electric is an 85kWh usable battery and an electric drive unit producing 200kW (272hp) and 335Nm.
The rear-wheel-drive electric sedan accelerates from 0-100km/h in 6.7 seconds and has a top speed of 210km/h.

According to WLTP testing, the CLA 250+ electric achieves between 673km and 792km of range, with energy consumption rated between 12.3 and 14.6kWh/100km.
One of the key technologies behind this efficiency is a two-speed transmission on the rear axle. The first gear prioritises strong initial acceleration and urban efficiency, while the second ratio is designed for higher-speed cruising and improved highway efficiency.
320kW charging
The CLA’s 800-volt architecture also enables high-speed DC charging at up to 320kW.
Mercedes-Benz says the car can add up to 325km of WLTP range in just 10 minutes when connected to a suitable DC fast charger.

A 10-80% DC charging session takes around 22 minutes, while AC charging at 11kW takes approximately nine hours from 0-100%.
The car also supports MB.CHARGE Public, allowing owners to authenticate and pay for charging through the Mercedes-Benz app.
The smartest Mercedes-Benz yet?
The CLA 250+ electric is the first Mercedes-Benz model to run entirely on the company’s new MB.OS operating system.
Rather than simply powering the infotainment system, MB.OS manages key areas including infotainment, comfort and body functions, driving and charging.

The system is connected to Mercedes-Benz’s cloud infrastructure, allowing vehicle software, including certain driver assistance functions, to receive over-the-air updates.
The fourth-generation MBUX system also introduces a significantly more advanced MBUX Virtual Assistant, combining AI technologies from Google and Microsoft.
It can handle more natural, multi-step conversations and retain context during interactions. Mercedes-Benz says it can switch between ChatGPT and Google’s automotive AI technology depending on the type of question being asked.
Navigation is also integrated with Google Maps, while Mercedes-Benz’s Navigation with Electric Intelligence can plan routes around charging requirements and adjust them according to traffic and driving conditions.
A radically different CLA
The new CLA also represents a significant evolution in Mercedes-Benz design.
Its fastback silhouette, long 2,790mm wheelbase and short overhangs give it a more GT-like stance, while the AMG Line package adds sportier exterior detailing.
Up front is a new illuminated grille panel featuring 142 chrome-effect Mercedes-Benz stars, alongside the central three-pointed star.

MULTIBEAM LED headlights with Adaptive Highbeam Assist Plus are also fitted, while the rear gets star-shaped LED tail lamps connected by a full-width light signature.
The CLA measures 4,723mm long, making it around 40mm longer than its predecessor.
It also gets a panoramic glass roof and, for the first time on a modern Mercedes-Benz, a 101-litre front trunk or frunk. Rear luggage capacity stands at 405 litres.
Superscreen takes centre stage
Inside, the biggest talking point is the new MBUX Superscreen, which stretches across the dashboard.
It incorporates a 10.25-inch digital driver display and two 14-inch displays for the central infotainment system and front passenger.

The cabin also features AMG Line sports seats finished in ARTICO man-made leather and MICROCUT microfibre, along with a redesigned multifunction sports steering wheel and floating centre console.
Mercedes-Benz has also incorporated recycled materials into several interior components, including recycled PET-based upholstery materials, 100% recycled MICROCUT microfibre and ECONYL recycled yarn for the floor covering.
Safety remains a priority
The CLA 250+ electric comes with a comprehensive suite of active and passive safety systems, including MB.DRIVE, 360-degree parking assistance, adaptive driving assistance, automatic climate control and KEYLESS-GO.
Notably, a centre airbag is fitted as standard, designed to deploy between the driver and front passenger during a severe side impact.
Mercedes-Benz expands its EV line-up
The CLA launch is part of Mercedes-Benz Malaysia’s wider push into electric mobility.
The new S-Class facelift and all-new electric GLC are now open for pre-booking, with the electric GLC expected to be priced between RM370,000 and RM400,000.

As part of the launch campaign, the first 100 customers who pre-book either the all-new electric CLA or electric GLC will receive passes to an upcoming exclusive Mercedes-AMG F1 Party, subject to terms and conditions.
For the CLA 250+ electric, however, the headline numbers are clear: RM274,888, 272hp, 85kWh and up to 792km of WLTP range.
That combination makes Mercedes-Benz’s latest compact EV a significant new player in Malaysia’s premium electric vehicle market.
