BYD Sime Motors has launched the updated 2026 BYD SEALION 7 in Malaysia, introducing a new entry-level Dynamic variant priced from RM163,800, while the first 300 buyers can enjoy a promotional price of RM159,800.
The new Dynamic variant undercuts the previous entry price of the SEALION 7 Premium by RM25,000, making BYD’s flagship D-segment electric SUV significantly more accessible. Meanwhile, the Premium and Performance variants are now priced at RM188,800 and RM203,800 respectively.
Beyond the new variant, the 2026 SEALION 7 also receives meaningful upgrades. Both the Premium and Performance models now feature a larger 91.39 kWh Blade Battery, replacing the previous 82.56 kWh unit.
As a result, the Premium’s claimed NEDC range increases from 567 km to 650 km, while DC fast charging capability has been improved from 150 kW to 230 kW.
The new Dynamic variant is powered by a rear-mounted electric motor producing 170 kW and 380 Nm of torque, enabling a 0-100 km/h sprint in 7.3 seconds and offering up to 520 km of NEDC driving range.
For buyers seeking more performance, the dual-motor AWD Performance variant continues to deliver 390 kW and 690 Nm, completing the century sprint in just 4.5 seconds while offering up to 600 km of NEDC range. It also benefits from the larger battery pack and faster 230 kW DC charging.
All variants are built on BYD’s e-Platform 3.0 and come standard with the brand’s Blade Battery, a full suite of advanced driver assistance systems (ADAS), intelligent connectivity features, Vehicle-to-Load (V2L) capability and a Type 2 charging cable.
As part of the launch promotion, Premium buyers will receive a complimentary wallbox and an RM3,888 overtrade bonus, while Performance buyers get a complimentary wallbox plus an RM2,888 overtrade bonus. The first 300 Dynamic customers can choose between a complimentary wallbox or RM4,000 off the retail price.
The 2026 BYD SEALION 7 is available in Aurora White, Atlantis Grey, Shark Grey and Cosmos Black across the range, while the Premium variant also gains a new Ultraviolet exterior colour.
All variants feature a black interior and are backed by a six-year/150,000 km vehicle warranty, plus separate eight-year/160,000 km warranties for the Blade Battery and drive unit.
