After years of expanding its motorcycle lineup and dealership footprint in Malaysia, Boon Siew Honda is now reinforcing the backbone of its business – after-sales support.

The company has officially completed and operationalised its brand-new Centralised Spare Parts Warehouse at its headquarters in Batu Kawan, Penang, in a move aimed at improving parts availability, logistics efficiency, and overall service support for Honda motorcycle owners nationwide.

The new facility spans approximately 5,533 square metres, representing a massive 238% increase in size compared to the company’s previous spare parts storage facility. With a 9-metre height clearance and a significantly larger storage capacity, the warehouse is designed to accommodate growing inventory demands while streamlining operations.

More importantly, the facility consolidates inbound, storage, and outbound logistics processes under one roof, allowing for better inventory management, faster handling, and improved coordination across procurement, logistics, and after-sales operations.

For customers, this should ultimately translate into better spare parts availability and quicker turnaround times at dealerships and service centres, especially as Honda’s motorcycle presence in Malaysia continues to grow rapidly.

The warehouse will support more than 114 Honda Impian X and seven Honda BigWing dealerships nationwide, covering everything from daily commuter motorcycles to premium big bikes.

According to the company, the facility was developed based on Honda’s global logistics standards, incorporating optimised layout planning, vertical storage systems, and system-driven inventory tracking to improve efficiency and operational accuracy.

The warehouse is also future-proofed to support projected demand growth through 2031, while achieving Green Building Index (GBI) certification as part of the company’s push towards more sustainable operations.

Kunitomo Asano, Managing Director and CEO of Boon Siew Honda, said the new warehouse represents a strategic investment into strengthening the company’s after-sales foundation in Malaysia.

“As our network continues to grow, it is essential that our infrastructure evolves to support both our dealers and customers more effectively,” he said.

Construction of the facility began in May 2025 and was completed in March 2026, with full operations commencing this month.
