Mercedes-Benz has revealed the all-new electric Mercedes-Benz C-Class, marking a significant shift for one of its most important global nameplates as the brand accelerates its transition toward electrification.
Positioned within the midsize premium segment, the electric C-Class retains the core identity of its combustion-powered predecessor while introducing substantial upgrades in efficiency, digitalisation, and chassis technology.

Familiar Nameplate, New Direction
The C-Class has long been a cornerstone model for Mercedes-Benz, and this latest iteration signals a strategic move to electrify its high-volume offerings. While the overall silhouette remains recognisable, the new model adopts a more aerodynamic profile, with a coupé-like roofline, a reworked front fascia, and a distinctive illuminated grille featuring over 1,000 individual light elements.

At the rear, GT-inspired styling cues further differentiate it from the outgoing model.
Range and Charging
A key highlight is its claimed WLTP range of up to 762km, placing it among the longest-range electric sedans in its class.

The model utilises an 800-volt electrical architecture, enabling high-speed DC charging. Mercedes-Benz states that up to 325km of range can be recovered in just 10 minutes under optimal conditions.
Energy efficiency is further supported by a 94 kWh usable battery and a multi-source heat pump system designed to reduce power consumption, particularly in colder climates.
Chassis Tech

Despite the emphasis on efficiency, Mercedes-Benz has also focused on driving dynamics. The electric C-Class is equipped with rear-axle steering offering up to 4.5 degrees of articulation, reducing the turning circle to 11.2 metres.
AIRMATIC air suspension with adaptive damping is also included, using predictive inputs from navigation data to adjust ride characteristics in real time.

The result, according to the manufacturer, is a balance between agility in urban conditions and long-distance comfort.
Interior
Inside, the cabin introduces a more technology-centric layout, headlined by a 39.1-inch MBUX Hyperscreen that spans the width of the dashboard.

The system runs on the new Mercedes-Benz Operating System (MB.OS), which enables over-the-air software updates and supports a growing suite of digital services. A new MBUX Virtual Assistant, powered by generative AI, is also integrated to provide more natural voice interaction and personalised responses.
Material quality and comfort remain a focus, with available features including massage seats, ventilation, and upgraded acoustic insulation. Buyers will also have the option of a fully vegan interior specification.
Practicality
In keeping with the C-Class’s traditional role as an everyday luxury sedan, practicality has not been overlooked. The model offers a conventional boot alongside a 101-litre front storage compartment, as well as a towing capacity of up to 1.8 tonnes.

Additionally, the vehicle supports bidirectional charging, allowing it to supply power externally when required.
Expanded Safety and Driver Assistance

The electric C-Class is equipped with the latest suite of driver assistance systems, including DISTRONIC adaptive cruise control and PRE-SAFE safety technologies. Higher-spec variants will feature MB.DRIVE ASSIST PRO, enabling more advanced semi-autonomous driving functions in supported markets.
Market Introduction

Mercedes-Benz has confirmed that the all-electric C-Class will first be launched in the United States, with availability in other regions dependent on local regulatory approvals.
