Chery Malaysia Rolls Out Raya Deals and Festive Roadshow

Chery Malaysia is marking the Hari Raya season with a month-long campaign that blends cash rebates, showroom activities, and a mall roadshow aimed at Malaysians preparing for their balik kampung journeys.

Running from 1 to 31 March, the promotion features cash rebates of up to RM18,888 across selected models. Hybrid and electrified models are central to the campaign, with the TIGGO Cross HEV receiving RM7,888 in rebates, while both the TIGGO 7 PHEV and TIGGO 8 PHEV come with RM8,888 savings. The rebates apply to 2025 model year vehicles.

With prices starting from RM88,800, Chery’s SUV lineup offers several options for buyers looking to upgrade before the festive travel rush. The TIGGO Cross Turbo is priced from RM88,800, while the TIGGO Cross HEV starts from RM99,800.

Chery Tiggo 7 PHEV

Moving up the range, the TIGGO 7 PHEV is priced at RM129,800 and comes with a 10-year or 200,000 km battery warranty. The larger TIGGO 8 PHEV and TIGGO 8 Pro both retail at RM159,800, while the TIGGO 7 Pro is priced at RM123,800.

Chery’s plug-in hybrid models are positioned as long-distance solutions for Malaysian drivers during the holiday season. With a fully charged battery and a full tank of fuel, the PHEV models can travel up to 1,200 km.

The extended range reduces the need for frequent refuelling stops, which can be particularly useful during peak festive travel when highways and petrol stations are often crowded.

Beyond pricing incentives, Chery Malaysia is also taking the campaign to the public with a Hari Raya roadshow at LaLaport Bukit Bintang City Centre. Visitors can get behind the wheel of the TIGGO 7 PHEV and TIGGO Cross HEV through dedicated test-drive sessions within the mall compound.

The roadshow also features family-friendly activities. A colouring contest for children will take place on 14 March, while adults can participate in interactive games for a chance to win Chery merchandise including mini tote bags, baseball caps, Raya packet sets, and limited-edition enamel pins.

Visitors who confirm a booking for any Chery vehicle at the roadshow between 7 March and 5 April 2026 will receive an additional incentive — an exclusive gift along with RM150 worth of LaLaport BBCC shopping vouchers.

At the showroom level, Chery is also introducing a festive social media contest designed to drive engagement and encourage test drives. Known as the PHEV Raya Fit-Check Challenge, the campaign runs from 9 to 31 March at Chery showrooms nationwide.

Chery Tiggo 8 PHEV

Participants are invited to visit a showroom, test-drive any Chery PHEV model, and snap a photo with the vehicle while dressed in their Hari Raya outfit. Posting the photo on social media qualifies them for entry into the contest, which features five prize categories. Rewards include smartphones and other lifestyle items.

The initiative aims to bring more foot traffic into Chery showrooms while allowing potential buyers to experience the brand’s electrified powertrains in a festive and informal setting.

According to Chery Malaysia Vice President Lee Wen Hsiang, the campaign focuses on combining festive celebrations with practical mobility solutions for long-distance travel.

He noted that Chery’s plug-in hybrid technology allows drivers to travel long distances with minimal fuel stops, citing a drive from Kuala Lumpur to Terengganu completed without refuelling. The company hopes more Malaysians will experience the same level of comfort, efficiency and range when travelling to reunite with family during the Hari Raya holidays.

Through the Hari-Hari, Hari Raya campaign, Chery Malaysia is positioning its SUVs as practical companions for festive travel — offering electrified efficiency, extended range, and a lineup of incentives that make upgrading ahead of the holiday season more appealing.
