BYD Sime Motors, the official distributor of BYD vehicles in Malaysia, has officially introduced the BYD SEAL 6 EV, making Malaysia the very first market in the world to host the global debut of this all-electric sedan.
The BYD SEAL 6 EV is offered in two trim levels, both competitively priced:
- Seal 6 Dynamic – RM100,000
- Seal 6 Premium – RM115,800
Buyers can choose from three exterior colours — Arctic White, Harbour Grey, and Misty Blue — matched with a Black + Grey interior theme.
To celebrate the launch, the first 800 customers will enjoy an exclusive package worth up to RM6,288, which includes a complimentary wall charger, rebates, and special charging solutions tailored for both landed and high-rise property owners.
Measuring 4,720 mm in length, 1,860 mm in width, and 1,495 mm in height, the SEAL 6 offers one of the most spacious cabins in its class. Its 2,820 mm wheelbase enhances interior comfort, while 24 smart storage compartments and a combined cargo space of 525 litres (65L front + 460L rear) make it highly practical for families and urban drivers alike.
The SEAL 6 EV comes with two powertrain options:
- Dynamic Variant
- Permanent Magnet Synchronous Motor
- 129 hp power, 220 Nm torque
- 0–100 km/h in 10.9 seconds
- Driving range: 485 km (NEDC)
- Premium Variant
- Permanent Magnet Synchronous Motor
- 218 hp power, 330 Nm torque
- 0–100 km/h in just 7.5 seconds
- Driving range: 485 km (NEDC)
Both variants use the proven BYD Blade Battery (56.64 kWh) and support AC charging via Type 2 (7 kW) and DC fast charging up to 100 kW (CCS2). Vehicle-to-Load (V2L) capability is also included, enabling the car to act as a portable power source.
Enhancing the drive is a dual ball-joint MacPherson strut front suspension paired with a rear multi-link setup — a first for BYD in Malaysia — delivering improved stability, comfort, and a tight turning radius of just 5.5 meters. Rear-wheel drive ensures a sportier and more balanced handling experience compared to rivals in the segment.
The SEAL 6 EV is also equipped with a comprehensive suite of advanced driver assistance systems (ADAS) as standard across both trims. This includes:
- 360° View Monitor
- Adaptive Cruise Control with Stop & Go
- Automatic Emergency Braking (AEB)
- Lane Departure Warning (LDW)
- Front Collision Warning (FCW)
- Intelligent High Beam Control
- Tyre Pressure Monitoring System (TPMS)

The model also carries six airbags (front, side, and curtain) and essential electronic safety features such as ABS, ESC, TCS, and Auto Hold.
Inside, the cabin is equipped with a 12.8-inch intelligent touchscreen, wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, and either 6 speakers (Dynamic) or 8 speakers (Premium). Additional highlights include:
- Dynamic Variant: 6-way power driver’s seat, synthetic leather upholstery, automatic climate control with CN95 + PM2.5 filters, USB-A and USB-C ports front and rear.
- Premium Variant: 8-way powered driver’s seat with ventilation, 4-way powered passenger seat with ventilation, panoramic sunroof, wireless phone charger, multi-colour ambient lighting, and glasses storage box.
