Homegrown automotive brand GGR Motor, famously named after the cult film Gila-Gila Remaja, is entering a bold new chapter with the launch of its latest electric motorcycle (EV), marking the start of its “Go Green Revolution” initiative.
The launch is held in collaboration with Perniagaan Mazlan & Hashimah (PMH MOTOR) Sdn Bhd, GGR Motor’s exclusive strategic partner and primary authorised distributor.
The official unveiling is set for 28 June at Saloma, Kuala Lumpur, and will be graced by notable guests including the Director General of MARA, Datuk Zulfikri Osman. His presence signifies strong institutional support for local green technology, particularly those driven by graduates of MARA’s TVET programmes such as IKM Beseri and UNIKL MFI (Automotive).

Adding to the excitement, the one-day launch event will feature performances and appearances by several renowned local celebrities.
According to GGR Motor Managing Director Muhammad Mussadiq Mohamed Azmi, this launch is just the beginning of efforts to popularise electric motorcycles in Malaysia. The initiative focuses on a user-friendly, youth-oriented approach.
“The event runs from 9:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., featuring a launch ceremony, exhibitions, networking sessions with investors and media,” said Mussadiq.
“The evening segment will include community performances, test rides, lucky draws, and casual hangouts with EV enthusiasts. I believe that when celebrities adopt EVs, it amplifies public awareness and interest significantly.”

He added that he personally invited several celebrity friends—including Johan, Cat Farish, Ajak Shiro, and Nabil Ahmad—to participate in the programme not only for their star power but also due to their long-standing personal connections and shared values.
“These are more than just famous faces—they’re close friends I trust to bring positive energy to the brand,” he said.
Mussadiq also revealed that Johan, who is also known for his food brand Itik ke Ayam?, will play a key role in upcoming collaborations to launch retail outlets with selected celebrities after the main launch event.
This partnership aims to elevate the GGR Motor brand both locally and on a global stage.
To further amplify support for the green mobility movement, GGR Motor is also sponsoring two units of its LionG1 e-bike (each worth RM2,054) as giveaway prizes during the Aku Muzik Kamu (AMK Indie 2025) concert, taking place on 26–27 July at the Sepang International Circuit.

“This sponsorship reflects our commitment to give back and to plant the seeds of change toward a sustainable, electric future,” Mussadiq stated.
Among the public figures expected at the launch are Bella Astillah, Johan Raja Lawak, Nabil Ahmad, Ajak Shiro, Farid Kamil, and Cat Farish.
Notably, Bella Astillah previously received an electric scooter from GGR Motor two years ago through a collaboration with the Malaysian Music Industry Consortium (IRAMA). That marketing move boosted GGR Motor’s visibility, particularly during Bella’s highly publicised personal life events.
“This is not just about launching a product,” Mussadiq emphasised. “It’s about shaping a cultural shift. We want the next generation to see green mobility as an everyday lifestyle.”
As the event’s highlight, GGR Motor has officially extended an invitation to Malaysia’s Deputy Prime Minister, YAB Datuk Seri Dr. Ahmad Zahid Hamidi, to officiate the unveiling of its new electric motorcycle.
