Volkswagen Passenger Cars Malaysia (VPCM) and PHS Automotive Malaysia (PHSAM) have announced a significant leadership change with the appointment of Renate Noessler as the new Co-Managing Director of VPCM.
She will lead the company alongside Kurt Leitner, while also jointly overseeing the operations of PHSAM, the official distributor of Audi vehicles in Malaysia.
Renate’s appointment marks a milestone for VPCM as she becomes the first woman to take the helm of the company. With over three decades of experience in the global automotive sector, her expertise spans sales, marketing, and business consulting.
Prior to this role, she served as General Manager of Sales at Audi Singapore, where she played a key role in expanding the brand’s presence across Southeast Asia.
“I’m truly honoured to step into this role and to continue engaging closely with our customers, dealer network, the media, and our valued stakeholders in Malaysia,” said Renate.
“With the combined strength of VPCM and PHSAM, we are committed to delivering best-in-class experiences and pushing the boundaries of innovation for both the Volkswagen and Audi brands.”
Her predecessor, Denyu Bostandzhiev, who had been serving as Managing Director of both VPCM and PHSAM since July 2023, will be moving on to a new leadership role within Porsche Holdings Salzburg (PHS) in Bulgaria.
Under his leadership, VPCM introduced several key initiatives, including the launch of the flagship Volkswagen Touareg, various special edition models, and most recently, the local assembly of the Audi Q7 in Malaysia.
With this transition, both Volkswagen and Audi aim to strengthen their market presence through enhanced customer experiences and a continued focus on innovation under the new leadership team.
