Proton New Energy Technology Sdn Bhd (PRO-NET), the electric mobility subsidiary of PROTON, has officially introduced the latest iteration of Malaysia’s best-selling electric vehicle, the Proton e.MAS 7.
The new variant brings a host of enhancements inspired by customer feedback, including stylish new colour options, upgraded smart features via over-the-air (OTA) updates, and a new ownership package designed to deliver greater value.
Building on the strong foundation of the original model, the updated Proton e.MAS 7 introduces refined exterior and interior options, enhanced connectivity, and safety innovations—all tailored to meet the evolving needs of Malaysian EV drivers.
“Every update in this new variant stems from what our customers have told us,” said Zhang Qiang, CEO of PRO-NET. “The feedback has helped us focus on what truly matters—from performance and connectivity to aesthetics and ownership value.”
Two fresh additions to the e.MAS 7’s colour palette now offer drivers more expressive options. Obsidian Black makes its debut as a bold, premium exterior shade, responding to popular demand for a timeless finish.
Inside, PRO-NET introduces an exclusive Alabaster White interior trim, available only for the Quartz Rose and Turquoise Green Premium models. Each interior variant is limited to 250 units, elevating the sense of exclusivity for discerning EV buyers.
With the latest OTA update, the e.MAS 7’s Flyme Auto operating system is now faster and more responsive, introducing new third-party apps including Zoom for Cars, izi.TRAVEL, and the Vivaldi browser. A long-awaited addition, Apple CarPlay is now supported in both wired and wireless formats—offering seamless iPhone integration for on-the-go connectivity. (Android Auto will follow by year-end.)
New system updates also allow drivers to retain their last-used settings for added convenience, and enhancements to the EV’s pedestrian warning system introduce two new alert tones—Galactic Note and Space Walk—providing both safety and personalisation at low speeds.
A New Standard in Value: Introducing the “Power Pack+”
To make EV ownership even more rewarding, PRO-NET has unveiled the new “Power Pack+” sales package for the e.MAS 7, which includes:
- Power Home: Free 7kW home charger (worth RM1,500)
- Power Plus: Complimentary V2L (Vehicle-to-Load) adaptor (worth RM500)
- Power Online: Five years of unlimited in-car internet data (worth RM1,800)
- Power Thru: 6-year unlimited mileage vehicle warranty + 8-year/160,000 km battery warranty
- Power Exchange: RM5,000 trade-in rebate (subject to inspection approval)
In addition, every new e.MAS 7 now comes equipped with a tonneau cover as standard. For existing owners, PRO-NET will be offering the same cover at no extra cost in an upcoming service campaign.
