PRO-NET has set a new milestone in Malaysia’s EV market, delivering 3,276 units of the Proton e.MAS 5 in January 2026 — the highest monthly delivery figure for a single model in the company’s history.
This achievement builds on the e.MAS brand’s strong 2025 performance, when 9,549 vehicles were sold, capturing 22% of Malaysia’s EV market and representing roughly six percent of PROTON’s total annual sales.
Launched in October 2025 as Malaysia’s first affordable EV, the Proton e.MAS 5 has resonated with urban families and first-time EV buyers, thanks to a combination of practicality, connectivity, and accessibility.
With a WLTP range of up to 325 km, fast DC charging, a 14.6-inch FHD display, wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, dual-language voice commands, and a spacious 375L boot plus 70L frunk, the e.MAS 5 provides a complete, everyday EV experience for Malaysian drivers.

Ahead of its nationwide launch, the Proton e.MAS 5 toured 42 locations across 13 states through the MISI 5 roadshow, giving Malaysians hands-on experience and helping the brand connect with first-time EV owners.
PRO-NET continues to expand its electrified lineup with the all-new Proton e.MAS 7 PHEV, Malaysia’s first dual-powered plug-in hybrid, offering up to 1,065 km range on a single tank and charge. Equipped with PROTON’s EM-i Advanced Hybrid Technology, it delivers fuel efficiency of just 4.3L/100km while driving like an EV for up to 80% of journeys.
